I have been looking at the Wolfgang, and Diamondite Lens care kit, which are $50 to fix my very brown covered lights. I was at walmart and came across PlastX lens cleaner by Meguiars and it was like $5.50. Put on with foam pad took off with cloth (Microfiber). Wow. This stuff totally cleared the passenger side to like new condition and the driver side is probably 85% improved.
So before you spend $50 on a kit you owe it to yourself to at least try this stuff. I am still amazed at what it took off and my headlights were as bad gets.

yeah plast-x is awesome stuff... heres my method of use

clean the surface with an APC
apply Plast-x w/ PC via Orange LC Pad
seal it with a cleaner wax or a synthetic sealant

Yes this stuff blew my mind when I seen my headlight lenses afterwards and I only had a foam applicator no buffer, but anywas great product.

the one thing you have missed in kit form over plastic polish, is the protectant and drill adapters to really help bring the lens completely back and then protected so they dont do so again.

on good or new lenses, I find Plexus or DP Plex-all all thats needed to keep them new as long as you own the car.

I'm not sure if PlastX protects as well, but it seems as though it has some protection because the water beads and rolls off like RainX and besides I have DP Plex all as well. My main point was I took some of the worst plastic lenses and cleared them to almost new condition with a $5 product and a foam applicator.
