Hello, I'm a new member from NJ whose consider to be a nut with my vehicles. I'm not a detailer except for the care of my own vehicles.

I hope to learn a few things from all the members here.

Thanks, Dave

Hi Dave,

Welcome to AutogeekOnline! :welcome:

I held one of the first Roadshow Car Detailing Classes in New Jersey and I'm hoping to go back this summer. These are very hands-on classes. If I get in your neck of the woods, consider attending.

No chairs or sitting in my classes, full-on, hands-on learning.

And "yes" those are the real-deal, a 1967 Corvette and a classic E-type Jaguar, (I forget the year)

You NEVER see any other detailing class where the students get to train on the real-deal. And... these were the FIRST two car. This class detailed 10 or 11 cars in 2 days. I cover that in the write-up somewhere.

Welcome to the forum. That is me on the drivers side working on the hood in the teal tee shirt in the second picture at Mike’s class in Windsor,NJ (1.5 years ago). If you ever get a chance to take one of Mike’s classes go for it, tons of tools and products to use; and techniques to learn.

Perhaps PAL Automotive in Piscataway? That’s where Rod Kraft held a class years back when I lived in NJ. The class was very informative and a lot of fun

I remember that day well. PAL would really be a cool spot for another detailing class!

I like the idea but because they also sell stuff, (Autogeek sells stuff), they might not be interested.

Also, I need some space for my classes. The class Rod taught is a normal Meguiar's class, that is the Instructor usually shares a power point presentation and then does a demonstration, after that questions and answers, sometimes attendees can test out the tools or product and then the class is over.

My classes have ZERO chairs, ZERO power point slides, they look like this,

I need POWER for all the tools the PEOPLE WILL USE. If a shop doesn't have the needed power then we rent GENERATORS to supply the needed power.

But... somewhere in New Jersey or the New Jersey area for sure for 2020

:)

Thanks for the welcome, I'm in North Jersey near the Met Life stadium. That's some nice cars getting polished there. We have a good number of car events in my area but now that winter is here we have to wait for some better weather.
Cheers.

Welcome to our group therapy Dave. I’m an old Jersey guy myself, born in Jersey City and raised in Edison. You will find a lot great advice here and great deals on tools and supplies.

I’m originally from Jersey, nearby Edison in North Brunswick. I haven’t lived there in 15 years though since I moved to Florida.
