Cold here too we just need a couple inches of snow and I will be happy for the winter season. But I doubt we will get any.

Yep, Florida's cold snap hit the national news this AM. Talked about the potential damage to the orange crops.

I just talked to my secretary whose son is up in Lake Placid (FL) where we have a house on Lake June. He said there was ice out there, the bird bath was completely frozen over, ice on cars, tress/bushes with ice. I can tell you this, it was cold as #$%^ here in Boca last night, down to 35 with a wind chill of 29-30...that is freezing for South FL lol.

Just heard there wasn't much damage, actually what they do is spray water over all the crops (oranges etc) so when the cold snap hits the water freezes over the peel insulating the fruit, if they don't, ice crystals will form inside the fruit and ruin it.

It was 30 this morning when I got up. Even the dog did not want to go outside for a walk!

It got down to 24 at my house this morning and was below freezing from 9pm last night to after 10 am. this morning!

I heard it got down to 32 last night but I did not see no frost or any thing frozen this morning. Most of the plants around seem fine.

Only got down to 15 below zero in Upstate New York last night, summer is right around the corner :-)

I took my daughter to soccer practice tonight and cold temps usually don't bother me too much, but it was in the low 40's with the wind kickin'----felt like my ears were going to freeze off, among many other parts! I feel for you guys in the north----I'll stick to Florida!!
