Unable to find a combination that will remove swirls

i have worked on a benz A140 daily driver. never polished. never repainted. started to make some test spots. nothing seem to worked. but when i changed my rupes combination .. BOOM.. for my one step correction 70-80% of defects started to fade away. I was trying the rupes system by the book. pads and polishes, trying to find the best combination. My best combination was yellow pad with rupes quarz green with moderate pressure and 5 passes per working spot. when i was trying yellow with yellow or white or even blue polish my results wasnt good. and keep in mind did only one step correction and the finish on customer eyes was perfect

RUPES teaches their "system" is a ONE-STEP SYSTEM for most paints.

I teach the RUPES system in my classes but I also say it's okay for "show car detailing", that if your first step is more aggressive then white/white - then it's okay to follow-up with white/white if your Test Spot shows this works.

In my experience, I've found RUPES to work as a one-step system and a two-step system.

Just depends on the paint and the job.

Thats true Mike. Rupes system is a class by its own. No matter what i try to change i keep turning into the Sytem.
