Hello everyone, I wanted to know if there is any topic about the types of carnauba, the types of grade? If there is, I couldn't find it. Greetings to all from Argentina!

To my knowledge, there's 3 general categories of Carnauba wax used for car waxes,

Number #1 Yellow Carnauba
Number #2 Carnauba
Ivory Carnauba

Here's my advice, keep it simple. Pick an established brand you know and trust. Expect that this company actually did their research and put's out products that perform as advertised.

:)

From what I’ve been able to gather over
the years (no, I have never been to Brazil),
these are the ‘main’ types of Carnauba Wax:

#1 (T-1) Copernicia Cerifera;
-CAS# 8015-86-9
-Color: Light Yellow/Yellow

#3 (T-3) Copernicia Cerifera;
-CAS# 8015-86-9
-Color: Darker Yellow/Light Brown

#4 (T-4) Copernicia Cerifera;
-CAS# 8015-86-10
-Color: Brown

Note:
Manufacturers’ processing methods (Example:
purification, bleaching, etc.) may have an effect
on the finished products’ color(s).

Hope this helps in some small way or t’other.

Bob
