I think a lot of congressman are guilty of a lot of kick backs and corruption. We need to get rid of most of them and take our country back so it's for the people.

I agree 100%. We need to get back to the basic and get rid of our large corrupt government.

I don't know how many on here know the U.S. financial dealings and actual situation we're in, goes a lot deeper then you hear on the news...but we're f****d . Sadly whomever is in office doesn't matter, we're screwed either way lol. The debt China holds of ours, if they really wanted to they could crush us financially if cashed in (doubtful, but possibility is there). Plus the way our banking system works and is tied to other countries, we're causing a ruckus with the credit crunch across the globe.
So many of us called it years ago with the way Wall Street acted with lenient financing, our government and them had to have known what was going to happen....why didn't they stop/limit it, greed, we could have easily avoided where we're at today. We're run by morons and they seriously f'd us this time, this is nothing like the S&L crisis.

I don't really follow politics that closely as I think most, if not all politicians are corrupt. Recently, I heard of the "North American Union" thing where Canada, the US, & Mexico would eventually become one. Supposedly, the American dollar would no longer exist and be replaced by the "Amero".
Anybody that follows politics have thoughts on this?

yes, it's very sad...but economy is collapsing, just like Roman Empire...corruption, corruption, corruption...ever wonder why those "abnormal" new school laws/education is being signed???
I just wonder how much did they pay to the governor...

We all need to wake up for this election. The election has not been bought and paid for like the prior ones. We need to pay attention and vote. As I heard once: "why are we in this hand basket and where are we going...". Learn and vote.

I agree. I think that something like only 1/4th of the population actually votes so it's not like there is nothing that can be done. Unfortunatly, our voting system discourages people from voting by not automatically registering citizens to vote when they turn 18 and by always having elections on a workday.
...ANOTHER lobbyist with his hand in the cookie jar...imagine that!! I must admit that I am not surprised by this guys actions. We have politicians who are and have been warning us about this, but they are quickly dismissed by the press and media. It's about time that America's middle class wake up!
