The new rupes pads have a 5 inch velcro hook and loop. As long as your bp is not bigger than that. not safe to use bigger bp than your pad.I want to try the new Rupes DA system both the pads and the polish. I have a Porter Cable 7424XP that I purchased several years ago. I threw away all my old pads and polishes this fall. Some of the polish was dried up and I had used the pads multiple times. Question is can I use the Rupes pads with my velco loop backing plate for my Porter Cable or will I need something else to attach the pads?
