This is my buddy's car that I did when I went back to GA. This is the 1st time using my UDM and Menz polishes EVER along with this being my highest paying job so far lol. I don't have any before pics and these were taken by him about a week to a week and a half after I detailed and he had just gotten his new Advan wheels! The car was a WRECK!!! It hadn't been detailed since I did it by hand over a year ago and had just seen coin-op washes.

The car is running heavy upgrades including a larger turbo. I won't give away the parts as im not sure if he wants me too or not, but it made over 400 AWHP on a DynoDynamics Dyno (equates to close to 475-500 AWHP on a Dynojet). Its also got a JDM Evo IX front bumper and JDM Evo IX rear bumper.

Process:
Coin-op wash (stupid water ban in GA...)
Simple Green on wheels and degrease engine (not the ones that are on there now)
Clay w/ Adams clay and Megs QD
Menz IP w/ UDM LC orange
Menz FP w/ UDM LC white
Menz FG w/ UDM LC black or blue (can't remember)
Collinite 845s

that is a nice blue... my fav color. looks like a pool, love the way collinite reflects light

Looks sick! ... But to pull those times with mid 400's ... He must be one hell of a driver ... or he didn't hit 10's

Evo's will run high 11's all day long with what im putting down with a good launch. He's putting down close to 200hp more than me and well within the 10sec range and he's a hell of a good launcher. Let put it this way... He beat a 2.2 Kenne Bell Cobra by 2-3 cars :righton:

Thanks for the comments guys! I think im doing pretty good for only having done his car and my car. I'm hoping I can start a good part-time business to get though college. I've really only got one steady customer here and he's got his Evo and his SUV Benz that I do. Also whenever I go home (GA) I have a few cars I can do.

Beautiful color and real nice detail. Good luck with your new side career.

Car looks good. I'll keep my comments to myself about a 400hp car running 10's!

lol Its just because you don't like a 4 banger keeping up with/beating you :p jk! I know it seems crazy, but with the tires he's got and a good launch its more than possible. Also hes in the upper 400's. Most people like Dynojet numbers as they are higher, but he was tuned/dyno'd on a DynoDynamics which gives lower numbers. Like i said 400hp on a DynoDynamics is very close to 475hp on a dynojet. Its a 15-20% difference between the 2 dynos.

Very nice work..but to those numbers are kinda weak.... and im not sure about those 10sec passes ....

Off topic but I know lots of people with those numbers only running mid 11s.

V8's ftw!...haha 4 bangers are cool too..

Details are great only with pics, and 1/4 mile claims are only good with time slips. There are many people here that have high horsepower cars, and know a thing about cars. Try not playing us like fools.

My 600 hp Whippled Cobra only sees 4 bangers in the rear view mirror!

I would think he would be concerned with you revealing his power level versus his parts list! :D Either way, the car looks good.

Thanks for all the comments guys. Unfortunately I don't have his time slips, but here is a review of the turbo from Buschur's website with the average quarter mile time with the 20G-9-LT turbo. :D

This is the NEWEST addition to the true bolt-on turbo upgrades for your Mitsubishi Evolution. After alot of time in R&D we are proud to release the 20G-9LT (aka: the Evo Green) turbo. With close to stock like spool up this turbo uses a 69mm 5-bladed compressor wheel and flows 47lbs. air per minute. This turbo has put down some impressive times already. On a full street trim Evolution with street tires it ran a best time of 10.8@128mph.

He'll be hard pressed to make over 450whp with a 20g that only flows 47 lbs...

Ill smoke you ZAXJAX!!!:p....From a dig..:D.haha but you'll get me top end...maybe.

Racing from a dig is for girls! Line'em up and see if you can do wheel stands!

I am no expert but those cars are pretty light right? I figured a little car like that might run high tens with 450 HP? I dunno. I think you guys are failing to recognize how much the wing adds to that.
hahahahha!

Hey now! Don't be dissin the wing! lol The 03 Evos are pretty light and weigh around 3100-3200lbs. Hes already making over 450 (475 on a Dynojet). It just depends on the dyno. I think he's got a dyno graph posted on one of the Evo forums. Ill try to find it.

Ive eating a few evo or two with my diesel (they were just intake and exhaust) ... But fun none the less ...

I honestly just dont see how those #'s are putting down those times ... Im not calling you a liar by any means ... I just can't see it being possible ...

Its not because I dont like 4 cyl. ethier ... I have a high repespect for the evo/sti's (just because I like the way they are set up all around) ... But Id take a terminator over one ANY day ... Just my taste ...

I know Kurt Brown ... Built and tuned by AMS ... He is running a AMS GT35R Kit and is around the mid 600 mark ... He just pulled a 9.34 @ 152.33 and is one of the best drivers I have ever seen

3200lbs...thats heavy. Im trying to get my awd talon in the 2600lbs range. Already fully gutted with a 8gal cell in the back. Just need that damn expensive ass lexan. Power to weight ratio..thats what its all about. A race against a 600hp f-body vs a 600hp civic(), the civic would rip it cause weighs so much less.

Hell I dont know of any 20g that puts down 475whp since they cant flow that much.

Dynos can lie but time slips cant.

^^Stock turbo car. Nothing but weight reductions running 10.8 no nitrous. A little less then 300whp.

Well I have a 95 firebird LT1 398 stroker (old motor) with 458 at the wheels went 9.98 and weights right at 3100 lbs..new motor will be 8.20's to 8.50 on nitrous and 9.5 on motor.....street legal....so 400 is do able .....and I do race on the rear bumper....
