I have successfully done headlight restorations in the past but am about to working on a project that I need to be able to do plastic & headlight restoration fast with wet sanding like results.

In the past I have just used the wet sanding technique fallowed up with a quick buff and sealant, which worked great but way to slow for what I am going to be doing.

headlights im not so much worried about but I am going to have a bunch of little 4" badly yellowed/weathered plastic housings that I need to be able to do quickly and be nice and clear/like new.

Any suggestions? I was thinking of possible finding some small 3-4" flexible velcro wet sanding discs and using my drill but I'm not sure if they make such a thing that is 1000-2000 grit.

Don't know of anything that will make it faster.....

To do a good job quick, I would sand and compound. No need for a finer polish unless you demand perfection which it seems like you don't. I would also skip using a sealant since there is no immediate difference that it makes. Other than that, just practice. My suggestions are simply ways to cut back on time while giving acceptable results. I do not suggest that it is the right way to do it. As for sanding, I would just do it by hand.

Yeah I looked the the drill sanding pads of didn't have any luck of finding any fine grit stuff. So it looks like just hand sanding and compounding. Perfection isn't really needed on the small housing I might however still seal them as I don't want them yellowing up anytime soon after I clean them up, the headlights of course do need to be perfect and I will just use my normal procedure on them. Thanks for the suggestions.
