Works on everything I have used it on except my f150 bed rail trim and Uber compound. Grrrr

Meguiars M39 is another option.

I have Megs M40 which is a little weaker than M39 and is a cleaner and conditioner. It worked for me removing polish residue from plastics and rubber. I use it once every couple months on my plastic trim and it cleans it up nicely and leaves a nice matte finish. The towel afterwards is pretty dirty and I clean my car often!

Or even the pink one.
But seriously, I had wax on some of the black textured trim on my Explorer.
Raided the kids school supplies and found a regular pencil with an eraser on the end.
Made quick work of the wax.

Mr Clean Magic Eraser but be careful. It is also an abrasive and can remove any texture to vinyl trim.

I have used this b4 with success.

I usually just use my wax and grease remover that is napatha based.
