Extension for Flex........

not sure if I can use a 14 gauge extension or I need to go to 12. What are you using? Manual doesn't seem to say. I most likley will need a 100' extension or add an outlet closer to the front of my garage.

If it wasnt for the 100' thing you mentioned, I would say you'd probably be fine with the 14ga. But, for that long of a distance, I would defiantly invest in a 12ga cord.
 
100' then I'd go 12g. I've got a 75' 12g and never had any over-heat problems. Some guys at AG talked of their PC's getting hot at longer lengths with a 14g and other guys never a problem.

Are you looking for 900w input and 590w output?
 
Thanks for bringing up this topic. Although I haven't used my new Flex yet,
I forgot to consider what gauge extention I should get to use with it.

Yep.....after looking at so many machines over the past year, I waited long enough for the Flex. Was about to buy a Festool than Zoran mentioned hearing about this new, fangle tool coming from Germany. Can't wait for Spring, I got so many light swirls to take out.

Not a big deal, more curious than anything, if I went to 50' you think I can use 14 gauge? I've been thinking of putting an outlet at the front of the garage maybe this will get my lazy butt going. Just thinking the weight of the Flex plus 12 gauge extension cord is just too much for this old body.
