A/g Carrying Swissvax ???

So how about that doodo? Will it something you carry?

Contacted them several months ago and I got an email back saying they were not set up for new accounts. I kindly said ok! They said they would contact me and I never heard from them again.

Has anyone tried any of Swissvax wax line is the onyx any good??

I tried sapphire (I believe that was the name) and it reminded me of Zymols Concours.

casue its not worth 2g
:D What a great response!

Pinnacle is a good wax, but I think it would be good for AG to offer something you could move up to from Pinnacle. It could be a new Pinnacle offering or another brand like Zymol or Swissvax.

I look at Pinnacle as a "gateway" wax (stolen from the term "gateway" drug). If you like what Pinnacle does for your paint, you'll get addicted and then move into more hard core waxes.

i wouldnt mind souveran coming in a crystal cube like zymol vintage. but maybe sell it for like 150 bucks!! i like the containers from zymol!!!

:goodpost:

I think there is definitely room and opportunity for the Pinnacle brand to grow upward. There's no reason why the brand has to be limited to two offerings with a peak price point of $80.

I'm not saying PBMA has to go nuts and start offering marque specific waxes like Zymol though. Personally I think the whole idea of a specific wax for a specific brand of car is BS. However, I think Pinnacle could do well with another level of product at a higher price point.

I agree that there is nothing stopping Pinnacle from offering a elite version or the next step to Souveran, but I can tell you Capt Max wont until its truly a "better" version. Obviously an acrylic canister is simply marketing, and wont make any wax better.

I however agree with Th001 and disagree with Mike that Zymol and Swisswax offerings are above Souveran. (well maybe at the 5k-30k mark they are, but I am not parting with those funds for any wax/sealant) Most , other than those spending the funds, cannot see a difference. Sure if I am out of pocket I "want" to see a difference, but it just isnt there for most higher end offerings. Wipe on and off and durability is not my concern, for a higher price I want better looks.

These companies are however to receive kudos for marketing well and thus using limiting factors and price points to make us feel as if the 500 - 10,000 offering is so much better than someone elses 100.00 offering. Other than free refills, you likely are paying more for the original costs to design these waxes(and equipment) then what it costs for the ingredients in the tub in front of you currently, even with a nice certificate of authenticity, and many years to recoup the original outlay. Are the ingredients any different or more limited than Souveran?? We already understand there is more than one way to weigh carnauba content and that seems to be the biggest "offered" difference between the two.

That said, we each have the right to use what we want and at what price point. I just dont see much of a difference above Souverans price point currently, and truly wasted alot of money in past on these "better" offerings. My voice is sit back, and truly look at from others eyes and see just how many can tell a difference ... it might surprise you.

And as asked over on that "other" site ... would I offer Zymol or Swisswax or Souveran if we sold them all, nope !! I found what I consider the best wax to date, and truly are moving towards sealants as technology increases to better their final looks in hopes of truly finding the next level in LSP. Sealants have mirrored wetness with gloss (very close in representation) and we need to only see better depth and richness before the gap closes on carnauba.
