I am not sure how this happened but on my hood of my 2018 a4 there are a number of spots. I decontaminated and used the clay bar but these spots did not come off. I am not sure what this is and how to remove. I am open to any ideas. Thanks. View attachment 75521

Photos are hard to diagnose- unless your a pro like Bosko-- he takes the best pix. Really need to see in person- but if you have hit it with a clay bar and it didnt phase it- you might want to try polishing it. What liquid abrasive do you have on hand and what machine?

I would also try a polish. If no improvement with a polish, then try a compound. If no improvement with compound then I don’t think anything would remove them.

If nothing removes them, then it's clear coat failure..car is fourteen years old.
