Polishing xpel

I'm going to hit my truck with my PC 7424xp and some Griots Perfecting Cream tomorrow to get rid of some light swirls and I'm wondering about the xpel on the front of the hood and the front of the fenders .
Treat it as paint???

I do a really light polish on ppf sometimes. The Xpel is supposed to be self healing though.

On my newest install I’m using Xpel Ceramic Boost (Amazon).
In previous discussions here seems that nothing really lasts long on it except Boost.
My other vehicle with 9 year old Xpel, I tossed what ever the rest of the car was getting at it. I’ve only lightly buffed it probably a waste of time.
 
You may want to tape off the edge of the Xpel so wax doesn’t build up there using thin line tape.

Hopefully they didn't use templates or leave edges showing.
 
As others have mentioned, you want to take a more gentle approach though you can do some (very light polishing). Gyeon does have a product (polish) specifically designed for PPF. I would also add in addition to using a gentle polish and pad combination, I might take the speed down and use less pressure with your polisher.
