Door Jamb Handles

I'm that guy:D

If my truck is clean, which it usually is, and you put fingerprints all over the door or glass, you're going to hear about it.

I remember being on a first date (a while ago) and the girl put her purse on the deck lid of my car... Date over.

She must have been Targaryen…. No Lannister would ever do that. We live in an uncivilized world!

It’s funny because for the most part I agree with wanting my car to be clean as much as possible… But at the same time when it comes to other people/passengers in my car they’re given the royal treatment. I look at it as part of the reason I keep my car clean to begin with, it’s like being prepared to pick up a hot date, or recently when I picked someone up at the airport, I get geeked out about arriving with a perfectly clean trunk with absolutely nothing in it but all the room to place their luggage.

But don’t get me wrong, if someone’s being a complete idiot, such as spilling a drink in my ride or leaning on my car they’re going to get checked. But fingerprints are mostly harmless.

Another thing that comes to mind is when my parents bought a brand new vehicle a few years ago and I noticed my mom had placed a blanket over the rear seat in order to protect it from any possible spills/stains. I removed the blanket and told her to just enjoy her new car to the fullest and not to worry, because no matter what happens I can clean it and make it look like new.

Lmao. Oh man that’s funny. And I’m pretty sure I know exactly where you got that from but I can’t remember where at the moment… But I’m sure of it because I myself jokingly insult people with that 1 on occasion.

[btw I’m not supporting you saying that to 2black1s, because he’s cool. even though I know it was only a joke. But reading that was funny as hell. Lol]

Once when leaving the gym I was just getting to my car and I opened the trunk to retrieve my wallet and phone and there were 2 girls standing next to the car parked next to mine. When I opened the trunk the girl's jaw dropped and commented that she had never seen a trunk that clean before. Talk about putting a smile on your face!

Just beware of [jerks] who obviously park real close next to you just to piss you off. Happened to me last month. And no particular time is safe either, this was at 7 AM.

When driving one of our old retired beaters years ago...this happened. I had to keep my wife from purposely and violently slamming our door into theirs lol.

Some folks need reminded there are bigger assssholes than themselves out there

I don't like greasy fingerprints on my glass but I'm not a douche so I don't ##### about it.

stuff happens
bird stuff, road stuff, people stuff...it just happens....and worry and fret about stuff is the thief of joy

for a bit, my book looks great....but when stuff happens....i just grin and remember....it's a good thing I'm a detailer...i can fix that

I've been into "nice" cars forever. Then, being a painter and doing high-end custom paint jobs, I've always been aware of how to touch, and not touch, cars. It's just natural that that carries over into my personality.

When my kids were growing up, they hated going anywhere in my car ('97 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP & '69 Pontiac GTO at the time)... No food, no drinks, don't touch the windows, etc. Now the wife's car (minivan), that's a different story. Anything goes in there. The kids loved it.

And you know what? In 6 months, the interior of that brand new van looked like my beater work car.

To each his own.

If the airport was LAX that musta been a very good friend. You haven't experienced frustration until you've dealt with the traffic in and around that place.(especially this time of year)...don't even get me started with the airport police. They have 0 compassion and 0 since of humor. I almost went to jail there once just by briefly getting out of the car to load a heavy bag. They came up on.me like a swat team lol

Like your mom, I have a customer who is like a aunt to me. She buys a new car every couple of years and EVERYTIME puts these cheap ass walmart looking floormats on top of the originals. I remind her (constantly) that this isn't necessary (and is ugly af + dangerous) but she won't listen. Oh well....

If you only knew :D

Brother. I don't even recall making that post. It actually sounds like something my wife says to me when I yell at her for slamming the passenger door :argue:
I bet she was the one who made that comment while I was sleeping :D

I usually try to subliminally influence my adult passengers by talking about how "I just washed and detailed" my car, or commenting "don't the windows look nice and clean?". I like to let them know I have a certain pride of ownership and that this vehicle means a lot to me. I have noticed that they seem more "careful" around the car.

That is a cool trick that I will have to remember

Something that I have observed over the years is that the passenger compartments are always much dirtier than the drivers area. Seems impossible considering those areas are not occupied as much, but it's true. My conclusion is that the majority don't respect what they didn't work hard to pay for

you will not get into this car with that greasy bag of fries and an unopened shaken can of cherry coke

It is very rare that we will eat in any of our vehicles. Any takeout food picked up along the way goes either in the trunk of if its my truck it goes in the toolbox lol.

Some ppl think im crazy but i know im not the only one
