Well, well, well, the sun does exist! I was able to pull out the Black 745Li today to shuffle cars and get a black metallic 545i on the lift. This is a pre-sold car, so the dealer wanted it done asap.

Here's the 2002 745Li in all her glory!

On to the 545i. Newer car with car wash scratches. Used a wool pad and Meg's 83 which worked somewhat good but left the deeper scratches still in the paint. I have a sample of Meguiar's 105 compound and blasted away with that. Whoa! Worked like a charm....very dusty stuff (even more than System One). Followed that with 3M Dark Glaze and I'll power wash tomorrow and add a coat of wax.

I didn't get a chance to do some good "before's" due to time limitations.

Start-To-Finish on the paint was 9 hours.

So True!

Have fun with that 928! My neighbor had one year's ago. Great sounding Porsche....Mustang-Like (j/k)

3M Dark Glaze is really a polish like Menzerna. It's in the Perfect-It 2 product line and was replaced (supposedly) by the Swirl Remover in the Perfect-It 3 line. It's a good polish and finishes completely so you can see your progress.

I don't even know if it's still available in the current product line, but if you can get some, try it.

Finally got the 545i out of the shop and gave it a final power wash...started out cloudy, then the sun popped out.

Nice Toto! My Porsche nut friend has a black 928 in his collection.

It's a killer bottle. The word has it that it will be put out but I hope not. According to what I have heard 3M is buying polishes and refine them themselves. If so one should be able to find it elsewhere.

As always an amazing job. God knows this is detailing!

WOW! Great work as always Toto. Now make mine look like that! :D

Is that JB or BSM? It looks like Jet Black.

Actually, it's Black Sapphire Metallic. It finished out as deep as jet black. If I could catch the sun just so, you'd definitely see the metallic.

Wow, even more impressive Toto! How far is it from Tampa to you? :D
