what's the last car care/detailing video you've just watched?

McKee's 37 N914 Rinseless Wash V2 - Is it better than the original? - YouTube

Talk about grinding my gears, videos about filling your pre-soak sprayer from your RW bucket and they just pick up the sprayer container off the ground and dunk it in the bucket so all that nice crap on the bottom can go into the water

The Guz got it right of course, Kudos for that

Yeah, yeah, Grit Guard, yada yada, but it just signals to me a lack of attention to DETAIL

Let us know what ya think of it

When did they make the switch?

I’ll be sure to give an update.

I’m not exactly sure when they made the switch, but it had to be recently. I was almost going to order off of Amaz… But I decided to order directly from Mckees since they specifically state on the description that it’s V2 + they have it $2 cheaper + they’re having 15% sale right now with no tax.
Still have to pay $9.95 shipping but the discount made it worth it, knowing it’s V2.
It’ll probably take a whole week to arrive though.

I have actually bought several items off Amazon, not just detailing stuff, and gotten an older version and a few of the times it was on me

I went back to the description and it didn’t specify new or old so I just ate it

Others were on them and I made them reimburse me

I’ll do pretty much anything to avoid Amazon

Yeah I’m not in the dunk your sprayer in your rinsless bucket crowd. Extra 20 seconds just to fill your sprayer and add half ounce of rinseless product.

this is basically like an improved/better version of the original HF DA. throw a quality 5" (and 3") DA backing plate on it and use thinner pads (i would pass on those pads and get better ones) and this thing will be a little beast (change the grease too). perfect for someone who doesn't have a lot of money to spend...

It was about a month ago.

Some of that seems to be (dunking the sprayer) to prove that they are using the bucket product/dilution in the pre-sprayer and not some secret sauce to swing the review.

Even if this polisher is only mediocre it may just introduce detailing to the average Joe Walmart shopper. The more people getting into detailing, the better,it’s good for the hobby and that makes me smile.

Looks like Harbor Freight came out with a competitor to the rigid detailing kit. Seems like a great bargain at only $25.

I got my rigid for $25 for a Black Friday but that was a couple years ago. Compared to MSRP that’s a great price for the HF kit

Ha, I was looking at Harbor Freight website to see if they had a wet vac squeegee nozzle since last time I went to Home Depot I was shocked by the Rigid price, and in my search results was a knockoff grit guard for $6.99, in stock in my local store. Not sure how Grit Guard is going to fare now that their patent expired and all these knockoffs are showing up.
