what's the last car care/detailing video you've just watched?

I saw a video where two detailers were saying foaming was a game changer to detailing and made the two bucket method obsolete. I wonder where they have been in the last 10 to 15 years in regards to foaming

Clingy suds back in 2014.

I foam only when it's dust or light dirt but pre-wash and 2BM is always in the mix for me

Not a video but another retailer seemed to know this topic was coming. This was in their mid-week email this week.

How do their thoughts change if no EGO...

A Chemical Guys video saying one only needs to let a foamed car to soak a minute. I would think a wee bit longer to set some action to take place.

Never EVER that guy, sorry

I suspect you mean something different, but for me, I can't understand a word he says, talks like he's on speed.

I feel like most of these video creators are fake. Many are selling at the end of the day.

However, I've used some of his products and my biggest complaint is the pricing. It is high but I've been able to cut shipping costs and get a deal on what I've bought to find them reasonable. The magic decon soap he created helps me a lot with water spotting issues. Tough as shell is another spray sealant but decent durability with how I use it. Again, pricing is just a bit high if not careful and patient for his discount pricing.

I had NO IDEA he has his own product line. The fact he rubs me the wrong way as well as how much quality is out there, no way, no how

The key aspect of marketing is engage (get your attention), educate (shape buyer perspective), and then sell.

As for the rinseless videos and dirt in mitt, isn't the whole dirt in mitt a constant element in a traditional two bucket wash? That is, is much to do about nothing of 2 bucket is considered safe washing method.

When I do rinseless. I will use 6+ mf mitts.

I don't want to miss a good product so I'm in a lot of groups and a lot of email lists. If I find a product that is interesting, I'll check videos and watch the application part and final thoughts portion. The other 15mins I don't usually need (minus this damn Preludio puzzle)

If this one is an easy fix to my constant battle with the sun, I'm definitely interested.

Can’t stand this guy.

At this point his channel only exists to push his products, which is fine. Everybody has to make money somehow but I don’t see anything special about them. In this latest video he’s introducing a slightly alkaline soap and I’m sure there are better ones on the market. P&S just dropped Frostbite which has a pH of 9.8 and there’s always Touch-Less and Auto Foam which are magnitudes better and all of them are at a better price point. Frostbite is half as expensive with more cleaning power.

From a product standpoint, yes. From a financial standpoint, no.

Looking at the comments it reminds me of when I first got into lawn care and YT was my go to for info. There is a particular YTer similar to Jimbo that pushed overpriced products with results that can be achieved a much easier and cheaper price point. I fell for his pitch hook, line and sinker because I didn’t know any better and that’s what his comments section feels like. A bunch of people that want to good products but are looking in all the wrong places and do whatever the nice guy on the screen says.

For clarification, is person in the back and fort Yvan? I got lost in all the back and forth.
