what's the last car care/detailing video you've just watched?

The other 15mins I don't usually need (minus this damn Preludio puzzle)

Yeah, that is going to take some figuring out. Seems like the multiple-media method will work out best with that, so as not to "cross-contaminate" media or wash and rinse buckets. The multiple-pH wash is a lot simpler with conventional where you can rinse it off.

some good advice from someone (his wife included) who does this for a living (day in & day out) as a prime source of income...

Hmm, pretty useless product it would seem.

Although, the product description states the following -

"Take your car detailing to the next level with Gyeon Q2M Total Remover. This advanced formula is designed to tackle the toughest contaminants, including old wax, sealants, and coatings, providing you with a clean and pristine surface.

The effortless removal process saves you valuable time and ensures a smooth surface ready for the application of ceramic coatings."

Note the highlighting of OLD, the wax, sealant and coating were not old applications, so that in some way explains the lack of performance. But having said that, a high pH decon soap would destroy an older wax or sealant. In the above test, in no way was that an "effortless removal process", in fact it took multiple applications to even dent the wax.

For those interested, Gyeon Total Remover is acidic, sitting at about pH 2.5.

As some will know, Larry Kosilla teamed up with an Australian company to distribute his AMMO product line in this country. This led to Larry making a trip to Australia, but also his Australian counterpart making the trip over to the USA. Most of the video is on running a business, which is interesting from the filtering out the fluff customers point of view, but the start of the video has some back and forth on the differences between our two countries. For the record, we don't all talk in slang all the time. :xyxthumbs:

And yes, it did cost above and beyond $200 to ship AMMO products to Australia.

Btw can you imagine how much effort must’ve went into trying to maintain Knight Rider as immaculate & dust free as possible for filming… They probably employed at least 2 full time detailers just to try and keep that car clean as best as they could.

Watch that video^
Watch it with headphones if you’ve got some.
If you’ve got a fancy surround sound system you’re going to want to turn it up because it sounds amazing, trust me.🫡

Let me know what you think..

Love it, although its about 2 minutes too long. That music was never designed to be a full length piece. Just enough to get through the opening credits.

I also noticed the guy did a remake of the Airwolf intro. That was pretty cool too, and I think I liked it better.

Both brought back some good memories of two of my favorite shows as a kid.

Now...back on topic before things really get out of hand! :D

There we go! Someone who knows a good time when he sees it.lol.

I think this is another fail for Jimbo. First his sealant had to be reformulated and now this pre-wash isn’t quite what he says it is. He claims a pH of 8.5 but in the testing it’s 12.6. With foam cannon usage you get 4 uses per bottle at a cost of $4.50/wash which makes it one of the most expensive, if not the most expensive soap I can think of.

There's no way this guy makes it

Yikes!!!

I watched it here and switched to YouTube to review the comments and as usual Dimbo comes off looking like a clown

Several people spoke about DIYers getting their hands on this and getting into trouble and I can totally see that

Plus the comment on Jimbo always stood for getting the best/cheapest results and turns around and has the highest priced soap around?

A legend in his own mind...

This clown was invited by Turtle Wax when they had that launch in AZ with other "real" detailing gurus, not sure how this guy weaseled in but he did, now he's got a product line, maybe he should be a politician

Yeah I’m not sure how he got to tag along either

You said “guru” and I thought of what’s his name in England

The car care guru or something like that

He went to that and then kind of dropped out of sight

I enjoyed a lot of his content
