I followed Roger's example, we have possible rain predicted for the next 5 days, but the FJ really needed a wash. It was supposed to be overcast and 28C today, but it's bright sunshine. So the 2B wash with Reset was out. I went for a RW with Ech2o, but I actually hosed it off first, mainly to get rid of some mud inside the wheel wells. Then it was back inside for the RW. I even did the black trim this time, the 303 Graphene Trim Coating is holding up well, coincidentally the 303 Aerospace Protectant is still looking good on the tyre as well. All up I used 6 MFs, 1 old one was strictly for the trim and wheels.

I ordered an inflatable painting booth. It’s gonna be huge!!

Will have to set it up at my parents house as they have 13+ acres and I am in a HOA neighborhood. Pretty sure I’d get in trouble super fast painting in there

The one I ordered
33 ft long
20 ft wide
13 for tall

So is your intention to use that as a winter storage container?

It was wash day for the little blue car following some snow and freezing rain

I went old school with ONR v5 in the bucket and the sprayer

I tossed in all 6 of the new Double Flip towel/mitts

10b51cf91093a86cc576da7593ec48d5.jpg

First pass on the first towel and my fingers went right through a hole

It’s not a missed stitch, just a gaping hole

If anyone wants me to come and put a curse on some troubling neighbors or your boss or mother in law I am booking up really quick

I tossed that one aside and went on with the rest of them and honestly I don’t like them

To me they are way too big to get your hand inside and control easily and they are like trying to hold jelly in your hand

They are supposed to give you more control and if you can’t do that you might as well 4 fold a towel and get 8 sides rather than 4

5 of them didn’t get me half way through the wash

I finished with more super plush towels and was much more comfortable with them

I’ll try these as QD towels if nothing else

Finished them and dried with NV Original Boost

I’ll get the wheels tomorrow

I’ll let Autofiber know I got a dud

The last time I got anything from them was my Scrub Ninjas and one of them let go right out of the package

Damn Chilly, I've got a list for you to check:

Have you got a horseshoe hanging the wrong way?
Did you walk under a ladder?
Has an owl flown over your house?
Are there any black cats wandering around?
Broken any mirrors?

Love that blue by the way, but I am a sucker for a nice blue.

I forget what I was trying to do with those double flip towels, probably same as you, Chilly, but I didn't like them either, but I don't like towels for rinseless, I did try some of those TRC Eaglet (8x8) towels thinking that would be simpler, use one side, turn it over, use the other side throw it in the dirty bucket. But I got the thin ones, they didn't work so well (for me). I did buy the thicker ones, I don't think I got to try those yet.

I keep trying to like the GD/multi-media method, but I haven't gotten there yet, I keep falling back on my rinse bucket method.

Gave the Mrs. SUV a maintenance wash after being out of town for almost a week. Since she uses her hood as a place to put pizza boxes, grocery bags and whatever else she can put up there to slide around I ended up polishes off some pretty deep scratches and recoating. All in a days work.

I generally don’t fall for gimmicks but they got me this time

I guess they can be used with a glass crevice reach tool

The concept should work and probably does for some people

The black cat fell off the ladder, which tipped over and knocked the horseshoe into the mirror which broke and sent glass shards flying into the owl which died

Other than that, everything is just peachy

Last wash before the winters go on this Saturday morning, yep, it's that time again

Today's RW was Labocosmetica Idrosave and even in overcast, 49 degree temps with moisture in the air this product dried easily, PLUS it's usual silky smooth feel and added gloss AND protection

Back to back RW's with protection and gloss (Griot's Garage Ceramic Rinseless Wash & Labocosmetica Idrosave) and I felt or detected ZERO build up, well it did rain ALOT yesterday, so the sacrificial layer probably weakened "some", Idrosave to the rescue

Haven't tried Labocosmetica Idrosave RW yet, it's a really impressive product, smells great, cleans and easy to dry! Not many Italian made detailing products but this one won't let you down

I placed an order at Autogeek this evening

They sent me an email letting me know I had a store credit, so I looked to see if they had the new CarPro WheelX, they didn't but was available for pre-order, so I ordered it. While I was there, well, saw some new products I've been meaning to try....., yeah, yeah, I know the drill...Hi, my name is Roger and I have a problem....

Btw, the products I hadn't tried yet were the Collinite ones, big fan of Reset and Absolut

Yeah even though early adopter (I believe absolute was the start of the 2nd wave of rinseless were seeing now with added slickness) I still believe it holds its own in the new wave.

I rec’d a similar e-mail…guessing that using the $5 credit would end up costing me far more

What happened to this....................................................... :ROFLMAO:

For people like us, with too many products, finishing off a bottle means your one step closer to sanity....well, until a new product comes out, I'm really trying to change for 2025

Also, I'm keen to hear your thoughts on Collinite Bead Coat, I've had a lot of people asking me what its like.

Yeah mine was $15, guess it worked. That said, some brands had zero items available while others a couple pages

I hope they revamp it soon
