Flex+LC purple wool

I really want Megs M105 to use as a compund but I dont own any wool. I saw the LC 6.5inch purple wool pad and thought it would work well with m105 for compunding using the Flex, will it work well? And how aggressive is the purple wool from LC? Also with M105 can I use it with CCS orange pads for light to medium swirl removal or is it to aggressive?

I have used Flex with M105 and 5.5" LC flat orange pad to remove 1500 grit sanding marks.
 
I have LC 5.5 CCS orange pads abd will test out M105 with them. I just orderd 6.5 purple wool with the m105 so hopefully that will be a good compunding combo.
 
Now I know M105 is a strong compound but it does have a very fast work time(so im told). I just wonder if it can replace my standard SIP using an orange pad combo for just the regular to medium swirls and marring type jobs. For example today I was working on an MR2 and it had swirls everywhere and it took quite a while with the SIP to get them out and its still not perfect and the car had also had no sanding marks or holograms, The SIP didnt fully do the job but it did fine a follow up with 106ff later shoud come out nice. But every panel really needed a lot of attention and work time with the SIP. I kept thinking if I had my m105 that I could correct more and faster. Would it do any harm to see how m105 and a orange pad will do on a not "too" moderatley swirled up car with no holograms or sadning marks? Is it to strong for all paint correction? And I thought maybe using a white pad would compensate for its abrasiveness on a lightly swirled finish. Just my thoughts, looking for feedback.
 
has anyone tried this stuff on a polishing pad? or even finishing?
cause this stuff has a lot of cut i hear and maybe it can be reduced with a no cut pad just use the polish. then it might make it less aggressive and more useful for everyday details that don't need a real compound.
 
What is the logic behind wanting to decrease aggresiveness of a compound? If one needs less cut one should just reach for less aggressive polish.
 
Try using a little Final Inspection on the pad prior to polishing and then again during polishing. That should increase your work time somewhat.
 
but this stuff is so good because it cuts so fast. but it is really agressive and you dont want to use it on every car(even though it saves time).
