Need some suggestions on exterior care

I've always used ceramic coatings and enjoy their ease of care and protection. My maintenance washes are easy, as they are wash and blow dry.
But after about 18 months or so, the coating on our daily driver, which sits in the driveway during the 110+ degree Arizona sun, has become degraded and blotchy. There are no swirls and scratches, just blotchy and cloudy due to the coating deteriorating. I should mention I use GTechiq EXO, which is usually good for about 24 months of brutal AZ summers.

Now that the weather is nice, I would generally pull the car into the garage and do my usual wash, clay-mitt, polish, and re-coat. But I'm wondering if this is something I want to continue doing.

I am looking for suggestions on getting out of the annual polish/coat routine while keeping the UV protection, easy washes, and maintenance. I've been out of detailing since about 2019, so I'm not sure what new products are on the market and what everyone is using these days.

I will say this, though: the daily driver is a 2013 Honda Fit Sport, and so far, for 100% AZ sun over the last 8 years, it has held up! So coatings work! So maybe I don't change, but still looking for other suggestions.

I don't know anything about the GTechniq coatings, but you might want to try one more That is more durable.

My climate doesn't have the sun issues you do, but I can easily get three years out of CarPro CQuartz UK. I'm currently running Gyeon Mohs EVO on my wife's car and it should last that long too quite easily.

Even if you can find a good coating that lasts two years in your environment, that will still double your maintenance cycle. I don't know if you could get the same level of protection and an easy maintenance cycle out of any other type of product. The whole reason I ended up using coatings is I became tired of having to re-seal multiple family cars every six months.

This is great advice. Thank you. I was hoping some new non-coating product would be durable. That way, I could do an AIO and sealant in a can. But it sounds like it's not.

I have CQUK on my garage queen Mustang, but that car hasn't seen the light of day except when I go in and out of the garage. I have a Lincoln Corsair that is mostly garaged and used for long weekend trips. It also has GTechniq EXO. It's the Honda that is the workhorse.

I went with EXO because it's so easy to work with. It smells terrible, even with a mask on, but it goes on easily and comes off easily. I do know it's not supposed to be a primary base coating—it's like a topper on steroids—but I do like it.

It sounds like I need to take a day off from work and get out on the Fit.

Cheers!

I've been looking at Nxtzen 360 spray coating. The video's show you can use just towels to apply it and once your finished put the product in the freezer and it will last for years according to the information.

It probably won't last so long as Exo but it looks so easy to apply and you get 150ml.

I do not have HOT climate but we are hit with rigid temps and occasional 100 weather. I used Adams Graphene on a BMW and it lasted 4 years, so far so good.
