I got the 4Runner in last night after knocking most of the snow off and plugging in the block heater for several hours since it was 9 degrees
First off, don't judge me, it is 16 years old and has lived that entire time, minus 3 months, outdoors 247/365. It gets tunnel washes and at least one thorough maintenance wash and some protection each summer, and the paint hasn't been corrected in a decade

I decided this section of the hood would be my test spot so I did a rinseless with N-914 and then wiped it down with IPA
I got my stuff for what I was trying to accomplish, although I actually decided against the 5" machine and stuck with 3" to make my test spots all fit in that one hood section
Part of today's time was for testing the new Autofiber Holey Clay Towel against my TRC Clay Scrubber, Griot's Synthetic Clay, and traditional fine clay. I broke the towel in on the glass with both ONR and N-914 at WW dilution. I tried both because the towel wasn't putting off the fine white foam I have seen before when breaking in the TRC, Griot's, and the Nanoskin synthetics I have used in the past. I just kept going with each section of the quartered towel and then the entire towel unfolded until my past experience told me it should be broken in.
I tried the Autofiber, the TRC, and the Griot's and then followed each section with yellow clay, and the section with the Holey towel left more stuff for the clay to pick up, the TRC was next, and the Griot's left almost nothing for the clay. My past experience was that the Griot's takes off more than the TRC. The 3 pictures are Holey towel, TRC, then Griot's
It was next to impossible to determine if any of the synthetics caused any marring just because the paint is already so bad. As far as the Holey towel goes, It is obviously a pretty gentle cleaner and I think I will reserve it for wash, clay, seal jobs which is what I bought it for.
As expected the paint is hammered but honestly, it could be worse after 16 years and minimal care
First up was the Fast Correcting Cream on a Shinemate Yellow light cutting pad and 4 row passes at speed 5 with medium pressure
