?Friend asked if i ever used it. Said it got rid of all the salt of his vehicle.

I mention it seemed expensive since he used 1/4 bottle on 1 vehicle. You just screw it to. Your foam cannon.

Weird it dont even mention ph or anything

Not much hard info on their website either

Didn't see any SDS links

Pretty pricey

For the chemists out there, just what does it take to neutralize or remove salt, over and above a good surfactant?

Chilly, you're not going to open the whole salt can of worms, are you? The man to talk to about that is Ketch on Autopia.

However, there was a long thread on here or Autopia about some salt removing/neutralizing product, but for the life of me I can't remember the name or anything about it, really. I had to run some errands yesterday and was driving through wet mag chloride spray that they laid down on all the roads yesterday in anticipation of the predicted "less than 1/2" accumulation" which resulted in zero accumulation, except of rust inducing mag chloride all over my car. (not to mention I took a short cut on a back road which was blocked by a tree truck, had to do a K-turn in somebody's driveway, heard some scraping sounds that seemed like I grazed a bush, looked, couldn't see any damage, trying not to look harder...crappy afternoon)

I wonder what the truck stop "truck washes" use during the winter, assuming they stay open during the winter

I kind of always wanted to try one of those when we were in America with the last RV but it just never happened

That is an interesting product, although it is not anything I could take advantage of in my situation

There's 303 salt neutralizing wash boost, AMMO NYC Boost and Frothe Anti-Salt as well.

Do those actually work?

Haven't used the 303 but I've used the other 2. It's tough to really assess if it's neutralizing salt or just washing it off. The Frothe has been something I talk to the self wash bay in the winter, foam on, and then rinse off.

Thanks. Good to have extra reccomended product choices in the back pocket.

I don't think blue beacon uses anything different than from the summer months. I know they use high concentration soaps, spray it on and then pressure wash it off. I can have a ton of break dust on my rims, they spray their rim treatment on and it's back to a chrome shine in seconds.

They don't go out of their way to spray the under carriage of the trucks though, they just spray whay they can see. The cab, rims, side skirts, back of the cab, back of the frame, back od the fuel tanks, cat walk, and 5th wheel area.
