Show us your pet.

The animals were up late for NYE and have been lazy. You can barely see the cat curled up in her bed bottom left of the picture.

So sweet. :giggle:

The dog that bit me bit another neighbor today.
He's at the dog pound now with a 10 day hold/rabies testing

I can't figure out why foam is coming out of my mouth
I think I swallowed soap suds or something ...
That's one thing we don't have to worry about here, rabies doesn't exist here. That's why we have very strict quarantine controls regarding animals coming in. There was a story from a few years back when a couple of US celebrities flew in on their private jet and brought their dogs with them, one of our politicians threatened to have the dogs confiscated and euthanized.

I remember that story. Wasn't it that bug eating freak Nicole Kidman??

My own personal story:

I found a squirrel laying in the middle of a very busy road a few years back
I could see him flopping around while I was sitting at the red light.
I quickly hit the gas and got to him before someone ran him over.
When I opened my door he looked up at me, like "Dude, HELP!!!"
I reached down and grabbed him and he bit ALL THE WAY THROUGH my hand.
I flung his ass on the passenger floorboard and started to panic.
I hauled ass back towards my house.
Unfortunately there was a big football game that day (I live close to the liberty bowl stadium)
Traffic was a mile long and I had no time to wait on that.
I hauled ass down the wrong side of the road trying to get to my street.
A motorcycle cop soon fell in behind 😱
He got up beside me and was screaming so loud I could see the veins in his forehead popping out 😁
I pulled over and before he yanked me from the car, I showed him my hand and then pointed to the squirrel in my floorboard all the while telling my story
I must've been convincing
With a confused look he told me to "never do that 💩 again and get the F home!!!" 😡

Long story short.
I called the Health Department when I got here. The lady told me that we haven't had a (human) case of Rabies in Shelby county since 1966
It took several days for the pain to go away, but I survived........the squirrel also survived.
I opened my car doors and started pushing him with a yard stick. Suddenly he shot out of my car like a rocket and climb the tree.
Before I lost sight he looked down on me and I believe he was saying
"THANKS Dude!!"

No, it was Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, Nicole is one of ours, she should know the rules. We even have a TV show where they show people trying to come through customs with illegal stuff, Border Security, I think they even do one over there, there's lots of entertaining idiots at the US Canadian border.

Gotcha. Nicole Kidman lives up the road from me in Nashville. We have no state income tax here is probably the main reason why
A friend recently told me her husband's hair is a toupee.
It must be a good one, cause I can't tell

We have no border security. Everyone is welcome. Even known terrorists and pedophiles

Dogs wandering the streets isn't a thing around here, if a dog is on the loose someone will catch it if they can and take it to the local vet to be scanned, most are microchipped, and if they can't catch them they get a message out on Facebook. Most end up back home within a few hours.

My guys have collars with their names and my cell number on them, they've never gotten out though, but it did help get one of the collars returned, somehow Buster unhooked his on a walk. I used harnesses when I'm walking them, so the collar wasn't attached to the leash.

I wish it was like that here.
Our animal shelter euthanizes as many as 100 dogs every week.
These dogs have no home. They are feral. Most have never felt a human hand, much less a warm bed.
The ones I'm showing you are the lucky ones.
I can show you others that will break your heart

We have spay/neuter ordinances, but they are not enforced
During Covid the shelter stopped picking up strays because they thought they would spread Covid 🤡 🌎
They then switched to a policy where they would only pick up dogs that were aggressive (the dog would have to bite 2 people to fall into this category 🤡 🌎)
When the rescue groups call foul the shelter calls racism
🤡 🌎
I have a theory why all of this is happening but it would be difficult for me to put (type) into words

Yes, everyone here has full access to food 24/7
Part of my diet plan will be to pull the food between 7pm-7am
Everyone else will have to suffer because he can't control himself

2 of our cats are bigger bodied cats in general, but at one point they got to be overweight because for years they had full access to hard food whenever they wanted it. Year and half ago we stopped the free grazing and got them on a feeding scheduale of 2 times a day hard food and once a day soft food at bedtime. Little over a year ago we got them automatic feeders. Programmed 2 feeding times for them and the portions that they need not what they want. Petlibro was the brand from the big river.

Both lost the excess weight and are way more playfull, with so much more energy.

Juat sharing as maybe a idea for ya
