What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Well i started yesterday. Spayed on some iron remover then foamed on top of that with Dark Fury. Let that dwell then rinsed off and refoamed with Dark Fury and a little Cherry Foam and did a contact washed.

Afterwards i used a clay towel on it and when i was done claying i did another contact wash with Slick N Slide. Blew it mostly dry with my Ego.

Then i compounded all the paint with Sonax Cutmax. After that i polished with Perfect Finish.

Rapped up yesterday with a panel wipe and sealed with Jescar Ultralock. By then i was beat as that was about ten hours detailing.

Let it sit in the garage overnight so the Ultralock could cure. Today i used Aqua Gloss on the tires , mudflaps and bumper plastics. Used Seal N Shine on the wheels.

The paint still has some minor swirls here and there but a lot less than before the Sonax twins. It's pretty shiny as well but white just doesn't beam like some other colors. The paint is pretty slick also.

First full detail of 2025......
3D pink/foam cannon.
Adams wheel & tire.
Super clean 8:1 jams/matts
Spray way glass
TW Ceramic "inside job" interior
Adams Graphene detail paint
Superior Aqua gloss rubber

I cleaned the exterior glass on the FJ, the car park where it was serviced yesterday is dirt. I used an almost empty bottle of Invisible Glass, but I added some demineralised water to it so I had enough, probably made it a 1:1 dilution, it worked fine, even on the glass that was in the sun.

I just did mine with some ONR

we understand. it probably had 4 specks of dirt on it.
Pretty sure the only thing to bet here is the over/under on specks of dirt?

I sometimes wonder if Klasse has even run his car through the wash 2x in one day before I even finish prepping my Saturday detail supplies to get going.

So 3 hrs till I enter The Bays Wheeling today (had to use my last vacation day before April 9th) I decided to pre-clean the EN's engine bay

I mixed up 24 oz of water and 1.5 of the old TW homeless lift RW in my 1000ml Kwazzer and got to it. Because I maintain my engine bay it wasn't too bad but what I did was adjust the nozzle to stream to flush out certain parts of the engine bay, then mist the rest, let dwell and wipe dry. Once I get to The Bays Wheeling I'll pop the hood and spray the new Griot's Garage Ceramic Vinyl & Rubber Protectant on the engine bay bits before starting the Labocosmetica 3pH wash process, any over spray rinsed away

Koch Chemie Mp is still my GO TO for engine bay detailing but I just wanna see how this product does in this capacity

I'll have a seperate, complete thread, if anyone's interested, for my day at The Bays Wheeling...stay "tuned"

If you guys were actually betting on specs per panel on the TAOS, I hope you took "over 4"

There was alot of dirt from overnight/early morning rain on her way to work, plus a bird bomb on the hood and dried up water/dirt spots and well I couldn't take it and the touch-free wash just didn't feel right, so a RW was dialed up

I reached for Carbon Collective RW and as you can see by the rinse bucket, it pulled ALL the dirt out

First wash since winter storage last year. Full 2 bucket wash outdoors- it was 78 degrees yesterday. I have a Gtechniq crystal serum coating and I used their C2 V3 topper. Very happy with the gloss and slickness.

Love how you can see the gold in the paint on that fender

How long does it take to get into the car, I mean you must have to REALLY look at it everytime you get in it

Did a rinseless wash with Absolute. Didnt do wheels and tires as they were still good from the detailing i did earlier in the week. Afterwards put a coat of wax on with Jescar Ceramic Spray Wax. That was the reason for the wash so i could top the sealer withh some wax.

Also while doing this wash I tried the multiple microfiber towel/one bucket method. Was smoother than I imagined. Since I paint corrected trying to prevent marring the paint again. Wasn't too dirty before the wash but I loaded six 450 GSM towels in the wash bucket and only used four of them. Would think if it was dirtier might have needed a couple more.
Contemplating going with that method going forward.

Washed the gf's car. She less than subtly mentioned that I could wash it and that I could do a rinseless if I wanted.

Haven't put any protection on the car yet so I went with Griot's Ceramic RW. Probably could have used some more cleaning power. Sprayed the car with N914 before using the Griot's.

Also pointed out her first dent to her. I put a small piece of 3M door edge film over it for now until I can get touch-up.
