Agree their detailing section has expanded. They have a few decent products but a lot of inferior stuff. Their microfiber stuff is subpar. They do have some Chemical Guys and Turtle Wax stuff. Not a big fan of many of the Chemical guys products. Guess their stuff would do in a pinch.I was at Walmart to get some motor oil so browsed the detailing section. It sure has expanded. Chemical Guys claims a significant part of the shelf space. The CG product labeling is "loud" but somewhat hard to read at a glance.
Mothers has lost a lot of shelf space with just a few products.
Another spot that is improving their detail game is Harbor Freight. Yesterday i went there to get a Grants 6 inch finishing pad which was on sale from $9.95 to $8.00, so $2.00 off. Of course they had none of that item in stock. So i grabbed the same pad in 5 inch ( still $9.95 ) and asked if i could get the same price on the 5 inch pad. The answer was a big NO. What is the point of having an item on sale if you have no stock of that item? The employee did inform me that another Harbor Freight store that was 30 miles away had the sale item in stock. In some instances they still operate a Mickey Mouse operation.
