Negative effects of spreading dumb disinformation…

I think what Ivan suggests is foam/dwell/rinse then foam again however he still is using a bucket with the DIY incredible suds In addition to the second foaming.

With the first foam/dwell/rinse he should be eliminating the lions share of the dirt. If not then the presoak solution is not adequate.
Applying the second layer of foam should be sufficient to do a contact wash with that second layer of foam.

So the DIY soap in the bucket is overkill in my opinion and is a waste of product. I agree that it is most likely suggested as method to sell more product.

Yeah this is where the combo of quality ceramic coating and very good pre-wash comes into play, although Crack educated me on the Labocosmetica 3pH carwash system, which is pre-wash foam, dwell, rinse, foam with the 2nd step, let dwell but don't rinse and go directly into the 2BM wash. This is mainly for coating prep, very dirty car, contaminants or resetting your coating

My two cents is that as long as your method gets you the results you desire, more power to you but there’s no need to criticize others that have a different way of arriving at the same destination.

I’ve got no problem with the method, my only issue is people spreading falsehoods, because he’s claiming that rinsing a car with a power washer can cause swirls.

And when asked to prove his theory he can’t demonstrate… Well if you can’t prove if, then why are you saying things that aren’t true?

-Also, the thing that stands out about this whole thing is the fact that he sells car soap @$100 per gallon and is preaching you must foam twice in order to safely wash your car.

As if the $100 price per gallon wasn’t steep enough as it is, but now I’m supposed to use twice as much? How convenient for him to come up with this at this time.

Are you talking about Incredible Suds? It's only $80/gallon.

DIY Detail Incredible Suds is $74.99 at most car detailing stores such as AutoForge, Car Supplies Warehouse and Detailed Image. It's out of stock at Detailed Image but you can still order it for $59.99 by using the 20% off coupon.

I wonder why Incredible Suds is now pink, used to be a dark blue

***EDIT***

Apparently the 16 oz bottle is dark blue and gallon is that pink color

It's only $80 on the DIY website, of course the shipping is not included like it is in that Prime price. But if you get up to $149 it's free shipping at DIY.

Don't start in on me, I'm not defending the price or buying any, I have enough soap to last....a long time.

Personally I’ve stopped needing to buy supplies at hauls that were once $200+, so I kinda like Amazon for many reasons including shipping time, shipping being free, no minimum orders, and their prices are usually the lowest on most items.

And it’s not like I’m interested in that soap because I can tell from a mile away that it’s overrated, so forgive me for not having checked all around for the latest prices.

Regardless, shipping costs are inconvenient and costly + it takes too long compared to Amazon and even at $80 that’s high for car shampoo. Include tax + shipping and it’s like $95 bucks.

Not on Amazon.

I told ya, I'm not defending it, I don't use it, I don't intend to use it.

I don't see the issue with foaming twice. My line of thinking has always been to get as much dirt off the vehicle as possible before doing a contact wash. Plus you can always use an inexpensive soap such as Meguiar's Gold Class or Hyper Wash.

To an extent, I do agree that if someone foams and then goes straight to the contact wash, they are rubbing the dirt into the paint. In my opinion, a much safer method would be to rinse the foam off to remove most of the dirt and then either foam again followed by a bucket wash or go straight to a bucket wash without foaming again.

As far as using the pressure washer, would you rather rub dry dirt against your car or mud? I'm sure everyone would agree the answer is mud. For this reason, I would foam first (or at least soak the car with water using low pressure) to soften any dirt, then do a high pressure rinse.

I agree with your criticism. When people declare that their method is the only safe way to get a desired result, when it is clear that there are several usable methods, a push back is warranted. I’ve always said the Yvan has some very good, practical tips that can increase efficiency but he pollutes them with things I consider to be hypocritical and contradictory to former statements. It reduces him from a credible detailer to a salesman.

Incredible Suds on the other hand is actually a good value, when used in a manner consistent with DIY videos. It’s about $75/gallon ($53 wholesale) but you use half as much product to achieve the same level of foam as your typical soap. One ounce in the foam cannon is all it takes and the way they foam, you can foam twice with one fill of the foam cannon on an average sized vehicle. I have nothing negative to say about the soap. It works, and when looking at it from a cost per wash perspective, it’s a pretty damn good value. I still prefer Reset but if someone wants something effective but cheaper, I have no problem recommending Incredible Suds.

Incredible Suds is concentrated, 100% and I never had a bad experience with it. I bet their sales would go up if that had an actual PR guy

Thanks for clarifying that, I only checked the price because it was hard for me to believe that it was $100/gal, however I didn't go further to check the dilution rate, which seems to be 1/4 oz/gallon for a bucket wash.
