Current Favorite Soap/Shampoo

Turtle Wax threatened to sue Jimbo over “Hard as Shell” and that’s not even a name of one of their products. He had to change the name.
IANAL but I'm thinking TW probably does have registered interest in "Turtle Wax Leaves A Hard Shell Finish". Probably wouldn't take a NY lawyer more than a few minutes to make a compelling case, IMO.

Well it says Shampoo Plus
Followed by a trademark, so that same lawyer shouldn’t have a hard time making a case there too.

Just imagine if some new detailing brand came out of nowhere and made a spray coating and called it “Que 2 Cancoat”

There’d be a problem, right?

Sounds like you should be calling Meguiar's legal department Eldo, and telling them about ADS. That should make you real popular on the forum, LOL

Maybe you can't copyright a symbol

Good luck and have fun with it.
I find that I use one glug out of the gallon jug...it will make sense when you get it....lol
It is so thick and concentrated, it's how it comes out of the bottle...

I have a pump dispenser on my jug that gives me almost exactly 1oz per pump. I use 1oz in about 4 gallons of water for bucket, two pumps in the foam cannon. I rarely use it in the cannon though. I find the Actifoam Energy kicks it's butt there since that is designed specifically for the cannon.

Shampoo+ also says 1-2 oz for a bucket wash and Reset just says 1 oz. So I guess you could potentially be using more Shampoo+.
Definitely using more but the fact is 1 gallon of Hyperwash can be had for the same price as 1 liter of Reset so no harm there.

Do you have a particular one you like, link

I use the Griot's spouts, which are better than the pumps as I found they are prone to dribbling chemical out of the spout.

I knew I should've ordered a couple extras

When people recommended the pumps, I was sitting here thinking "didn't I try that with the gallon pumps and they dripped on the floor, especially with the thick soaps?" Thanks for confirming my recollection.

Agree here. I'm actually very surprised Meguiar's WAS able to TM for just Shampoo Plus. It's usually harder to do across basic/common words and usual requires something more unique like Shampoo+ or ShampooPlus+

I've run into this when naming companies before - but I admit, I would've been wrong if both names had been shown and I had to choose the one that carried the TM in this example

And yet, no one seems to care that Armor All, Meguiar's and Turtle Wax all call their ceramic lines "Hybrid Ceramic". Shouldn't they all be submitting lawsuits to one another?

Or what about Mother's California Gold vs Meguiar's Gold Class lines?

I swear people look for reasons to be annoyed for the sake of being annoyed.

I mean cermic hybrid in itself. Putting 3-5% of sio2,doesn’t make it a hybrid. Let alone a “coating”

Wait in fact if I patent my name maybe I can sue them and crack dealers….

Oh, don't get me started on that! :ROFLMAO:

Imagine how many Turtle Wax customers out there that have put one of the alphabet-soup products on their car and think it's "ceramic coated". Sure thing buddy. ;)

I store all of my chemicals in cabinets. When I ran with the pumps, I needed significantly more space between the shelves, so it didn't make the best use of the available space. The spouts do add more height, but not like the pumps. Yes, you can lock the pump down, which in turns pumps out more product...............hence my mess comment.
