Detailing lesson to be learned here?

I’m done doing nice things for family members because they just don’t value the work you put in. My brother in law has a child with cerebral palsy so I coated his minivan to make it easier to maintain. 6 months after doing the coating I visited him and he hadn’t washed the van once and it’s not due to a lack of time. He had plenty of time to take up online chess as a hobby amongst other things and his son was accepted into a special school so during the week he had a good 6 hours a day to catch up on normal life. Unless it’s my dad or wife, family has to pay to play.

No wash in 6 months after you coated it is complete neglect. That sucks.

And speaking of neglect, and this alone has made me even touching my nephews car almost impossible recently. It’s his tires. I’ve been telling him for almost 5 months to replace this tire. I’ve literally nicknamed him F-1 because of how bald his tire is and he still hasn’t replaced it. There’s no way I can clean and dress this stupid tire!

Lol but seriously it ain’t even funny. It’s friggin dangerous but he neglects his car This bad. Smh.

Oh come on Eldo, that tire still has some tread left...sort of. I think that's the first Thai tire I've ever seen.

I detailed the interior of my nephews Camry not too long ago as a freebie because it was so disgusting that I couldn’t stand it anymore.. The passenger side had a sticky mess from soda spilling all over the carpet so I gave it quick extraction, it wasn’t perfect, but it was clean and a hell of alot better than before.

However he came out and the 1st thing he did was pick up his girlfriend while the carpet was still kinda damp and it didn’t even take half a day before there was a bunch of grass all over the carpet.

…Like why don’t people stomp their feet before getting into someones car, especially when they see it’s clean. Sheesh. Lol.
I'll help anyone with their exterior but when it comes to the interior they are on their own. I won't clean someone else's auto interior anymore than I'd clean their bathroom.

I would deflate to 24lbs, move that tire to the rear and squeeze another 10,000 miles out of it

No dudes, that tire looks like it belongs in F-1.
Also, that picture was taken 3 months ago and he puts around 3-4k miles on his car every month.

I'm guessing it's the same over there as it is here, if he's in any sort of collision involving loss of control or failure to brake sufficiently, his insurance company will void his coverage for failing to maintain his vehicle in a roadworthy condition. I mean they don't do it every time, but if they can find a way to avoid paying out, they will.

I cleaned my Dad's ute for 7 year's interior engine bay wheels etc,
Never got a thank you so last year I stopped.

Is a bloody mess now but with stress of looking after 3 car's i was done.

I will clean my twin brother's car exterior/interior
My older brother's interior bring a match and fuel NO THANKS.

Even Max pits to change tires. Does it not ever rain by him, how is he not sliding all over?

The craziest thing is I’ve sent him the link to Americas Tire Company and the price for a brand new tire is only $75. How do you not get off your butt and take care of that already?

This is me telling my brother to tell him to get new tires because he won’t listen to me. Look at the date, 6 months ago.
