Post Your Unpacking Pictures

Bogans punching on in the carpark over the last XXL underwear.

Pretty much, couldn't have said it better.

The local Kmart is in the grotto of town, a short walk from Centrelink (unemployment welfare for US readers). The only time I go down there is if I need to make a quick supermarket visit. The local council tried to make things better by redeveloping the area, but all they did was set fire to ratepayers' money because its just as bad now as it was before. I particularly hate how people loiter around in front of the store, like they have nowhere better to be than sitting in front of a supermarket smoking, making a scene and overall making it intimidating place for others. Having access to Amazon basically put an end to Kmark for me, I can buy cheap sh.t online and not risk getting mugged by Shazza and Dazza to buy their next hit.

Not sure if it was thing in the US, but did they also have an instore cafe like ours did up until the early 2000's?
Not in the 70's, LOL. You walk into a K-Mart in central Alabama in the late 70's and ask for an "instore cafe" and you'd be lucky if all they did was look at you funny! :ROFLMAO:

I worked in sporting goods and AL is a big hunting and fishing state so we were always selling tackle, guns and ammo - mostly shotguns/shells for the deer hunting that's big there (Remington 870's and 1100's all day long). After some basic intro stuff and training you too can be a college punk selling firearms to the general public! There's a federal form (ATF 4473!) that you must complete for anyone purchasing a firearm; it's essentially only a filter for someone so damned rock stupid that they'd answer yes to any of these questions (Are you a fugitive from justice?).
My boss, though, was just the world's biggest humanitarian. After completing all my training and being officially green-lit (or would that be blue-lit?) to sell firearms he pulled me aside and shared this admonition; it's always stuck with me:

"Now Karl, if some night somebody comes in and they look like they got somethin' goin' on, maybe they're kinda drunk or real angry seemin' and you think they might be fixin' to go on home and shoot their mother-in-law . . . even if they get all the questions right you just make up some excuse about how the system's actin' up and stuff's not going thru right and ask him real nice to come back tomorrow!"

FWIW I never encountered anyone that seemed interested in doing anything more with their shotguns than taking down deer. Biggest potential transgressions I ever dealt with was explaining that just because Remington didn't ship the shotgun with a plug doesn't mean you won't need one (3 shell limit for hunting in AL, common to many states).

Man, that was a long time ago, LOL.

The early 90s was great to hang out at Kmart and ours had the Cafe, it was awesome as a child to get hot chips and a coke while Mum was shopping. Now I stay clear from that trash hole, because people are depressing.

Ours isn't too bad, but it is in the middle of a big shopping centre. It was refitted a couple years ago, it was a Target when we moved up here 5 years ago, so everything is new, but they did that weird thing where all the registers are in the middle of the shop, so they check everyone on the way out, wasting more of everyone's time.

Nice to live local! Cool swag, too. I completed my order earlier today, that 30% off on ADS was a siren song that I couldn't resist and grabbed some other stuff while I was at it (no instant gratification here, have to wait for Mr. Postman). If I had a shelf I'd need to clear space for all the stuff I ordered. Darn it, that's what I forgot to order - a shelf! :ROFLMAO:
