Not sure how many guitar players we have on the forum, but I wanted to share this with everyone. About a month or so ago I logged on to guitarworld.com and saw they had contest to win a new PRS Mira electric guitar. I usually don't bother with those kinds of things, but PRS is my favorite guitar brand, so I did it anyways. Well, I'm sitting at the office when my cell phone goes off. I pick it up and a lady on the other end was from Paul Reed Smith and told me I won the guitar! :righton: It was set up and signed by Paul Reed Smith himself. The color is vintage orange with bird inlays & wide/thin neck. Should be shipped out today. Retail value on the guitar (unsigned) is $1850. I still can't believe I won it! Here's a pic of the guitar:

I'm still in shock that this actually happened to me. I need to start playing the lottery

But the real question is, should I slap on a coat of Souveran when it arrives? :D

That's so cool. Congratulations.
And did you really have to ask about the Souveran?

Man, that's sweet! I don't think I've ever won anything in my life!! lol

Yea, now I'm really going to have to take that statement off of my resume!

I'm going to be so timid to play it, I don't feel worthy of such an instrument.

Thanks for the kind words everyone! Does anyone here play at all?

Yes and I play and have 9 prs guitars and HELL NO DO NOT PUT CAR WAX ON A GUITAR!! you will #### the finish up on that prs.Use prs polish and guitar cleaner it is the right stuff for the job(they have SUPER soft finishes).I have been to there factory several times and have friends there you should go all you have to do is make an appointment for a tour.some guitar finishes are acrylic and some are nitro laq only use the proper guitar cleaning products for guitars as there finishes are made to let the wood breath to let the natural tone ring through.

Very Nice! Put some wax on that baby when you get it. I totaly expect you to have a high score on guitar hero now.

HAHA good one Gary! Unfortunately, I'm much better at Guitar Hero than I am at actual guitar. I'm still very much a beginner, but getting better every day.

Thanks for your response. 9 PRS's? You're my hero!!. I absolutely love their design, and hopefully one day I would love to own a Custom 22. I didn't know you could tour their factory -I might have to do that in the near future.

Thats awesome! Congratulations!

I have a Taylor Big Baby acoustic, and a Epiphone Les Paul electric.
