NEW!! Wolfgang Fuzion Carnauba Polymer Concours Wax!

Everyone at DFIII commented on how nice it was (the complete package) and also that Max would include a free refill, even if only initially.

I think from a marketing standpoint this is a benefit. If pricing to manufacture rises, and we all know costs only go up, then likely you could remove the free refill offer first without having to jack up the wax to those "other" levels. At 180.00 this wax makes other big dollar offerings look overpriced, but I am sure those spending 500-10000 US on a wax will still offer they "see" something others dont. (I consider what they see is the hole in the wallet). And remember all those "unlimited" refills are figured into their costs also.

Sorry Scott but that makes no sense at all to me. It sounds like some double talk some salesman is trying lay on someone. If you remove a free refil instead of increasing the price a little if the cost of production goes up people are going to see it as the price doubling. As far as you comparing this was to high end waxes currently on the market I really don't have a clue at what you are trying to say. I can say for sure that the current way the product is being marketed only makes me NOT want to try it. That's coming from someone who likes some of the other Wolfgang products.

Like I've said, I'm waiting on the reviews, if it's comparable to Souveran in looks and has decent durability, it'll be a bargain but...

the idea of removing the refill to offset rising costs seems a little far fetched to me, yes, prices go up, Souveran went from 80.00 to 85.00 recently, that's understandable, but a price hike that affectively doubles the cost? I'm not seeing it, if production (and shipping costs) to go up like that the whole economy will probably be in such bad shape that most of us will be selling our cars, not buying boutique waxes for them.

Just my opinion.

Personally, I don't care about the marketing, I rarely buy into it anyway, I'll consider the price, the reviews, and any value adds such as free refill(s) and try and make an informed decision. I really am hoping this wax turns out to be worth every penny and then some, it would be good for AG and good for me (and everyone else) so here's to hoping...

bottom line....it's too rich for my blood at $90 per tub. Obviously it's not marketed for me:(

Good for Max to get into the "higher end" market with the fancy packaging, which seems to be the trend. I wish him luck with it and hope someone gives me some:D

I cannot wait to try this. The free refill is great since no other waxes in this range offers one.

Just FYI this wax comes with a refill, now and for as long as we see. Its not a promo that you get a refill with it, its the way it is sold!
Just like Souveran comes with an Indigo Towel, Fuzion comes with one free refill.
And the price you see is not a promo price, it is the price. Just wanted to clear up some confusion.

What if you are from..lets say Norway, what will the cost for refilling be? Shipping back and forth?

One could argue that even $10-ish Collinite makes big dollar offerings overpriced as it is very possible majority of people would not be able to distinguish with 100% confidence $10 wax from $20,000 wax on their car.

IMHO what higher priced waxes offer is a "placebo effect", psychological component of feeling "special". Just like a high priced handbag is not neccessarily any better than cheaper one, or just like a high priced car is not neccessarily better performing than cheaper one, people buy them because it is an object of desire cleverly marketed to make people feel better about themselves when they acquire it.

Would I personally buy one? No. But I don't buy overpriced pieces of clothing or overpriced cars either. Would others do it? Sure. Whatever makes them happy, it is their money so it is their call what to blow it on, whether it be overpriced wax, or overpriced house, or overpriced clothing, or overpriced car.

I'm only 48, hope to be detailing another 30 years or more. That said, I have a list a waxes all under 175 dollars that I need to try first in order to appreciate the nuances that WG has.
Lusso Oro - $40
Zymol Carbon - $50
Zymol Titanium - $71
Swissvax Onyx $85
## 5050 - $48

Save your $$$ on these three, all mediocre offerings. Now you have enough for the Fuzion too !

I've read where Lusso Oro is similar to Souveran.
joe( dont sleep on it) and my self tryed out my lusso on his silver gto sunday . and i was like WOW!!! what an awesome shine. it really made that silver glow. very happy with the results . in fact we used sig series 2 on one section and i really felt that lusso had more of a glow... great wax

I agree with you somewhat, and to a degree. Are a pair of Levi's any worse than Guess ?? I doubt it, probably made in the same sweat shop.

That said, I can tell you there is a clear difference between a Z06 and a C6 Vette. Is it worth the addtl money ?? Some say hp is the only advantage, others say its the carbon fiber. Now is the ZR1 enough of difference to outprice the Z06. I would say yes, although suspension might be lighter and engine smaller. Performance has a price ...

And to clear up any confusion, I did not mean to suggest that Max would ever remove the free offering, just that he could if significant production costs moved the product outside of the realm (pricing) that he wants to play in. I will firmly suggest in a side by side comparision with several high dollar waxes you'll be impressed with Fuzion and likely happy you saved your dollars or sell off that "other" stuff quickly to someone on Ebay.

its a nice offering at a reasonable price point. Thats why its ok for you to Lusso, me to Souveran, Surfer to Nattys Blue, and Ed to Fuzion. There really is no right or wrong offer and each offer a positive experience to the end user.

haha.......I've never tried Lusso, just heard that it's pretty nice for the money. Oh, I'm definitely a Souveran and most recently SSII guy........SSII is REALLY nice for the $20 bucks I spent on it!!!:righton:(Thanks Meghan)

im sorry im new to the detail word.what is lusso and SSII?

As a certified "bubba" I tend to get a little heavy handed applying wax, tightening bolts, etc. So I need extremely user friendly stuff. That said, I have tried Souveran - I liked it, doesn't last but a couple weeks, but it's easy to use. I've heard really great stuff about Lusso - mainly that it looks like Souveran but lasts longer. Question for Killer - can liquid Souveran be Polycharged? And Zymol and Swissvax are mediocre? Really? I only knew one guy that uses them - course he buys the $$$$ ones too. Interesting
