This car belongs to the buyer of the 645Ci and wanted me to do a "quick" detail. Fortunately for me, the dealer recon'd this car 4 years ago and it just goes to show that a well maintained car after one of our reconditioning process will last a long time. The owner is in real estate and uses this car a lot.

So, I did the interior yesterday and did the paint detailing today. After seeing this car when I hand washed it, I knew it would be a great candidate for Pinnacle XMT 360. Used this wonderful product on a rotary with the Meguiar's yellow polish pad from their So1o kit and kept the speed at the 1,500 rpm level (I actually read the directions).

Here ya go: 4 hours later! All time record for this old man.

And a couple of interior shots complete with "racing stripes" on the carpet

The key was the original recon work done 4 years ago and the owner kept the paint in decent shape...just a few light scratches for the 360 to remove.

360 does great work and so does Totoland

Looks great Toto. If I could make a suggestion though, when you make the stripes in the carpet, make them evenly spaced, or evenly sized, it makes a big difference in looks in the finished product;)

Again nice job Toto. I have 1/2 bottle of XMT360 forgot all about it. Too many menz products to use. LOL

come on .... your only as old as you feel .. well after detailing a car or two !!

Yea, I've got to sharpen my Striping Skills LOL. I'm not even sure I want to do this as standard finish. Some people like them and others just want a smooth uniform look.

haha.......the last time I tried that, the lines were crooked---haven't done it since!! lol

360 is some good stuff. I just just it to clean up my mower and it made it slick as snot! No, I don't detail my mower, I was just doing some maintenance on it (changed oil, cleaned air filter, adjusted mixture screw, etc.) andjust want easier cleanup after mowing and I figured 360 and some Optiseal could do that for me:D I guess we'll see....

I love 360! It almost vanishes leaving you hardly anything to remove...

That looks tremendous. My 360 moves back to the front of the shelf.

I hope the owner of the dealership you work at appreciates you and the quality of your work. Sure wish you lived closer to me (in NJ). I can think of quite a few people who would be knocking at your door for details. To many people call themselves detailers but can't deliver and there are many in NJ. You're a rare breed.

killrflake Thank you for the nice compliment! I think he does appreciate the level of detail I'm doing. He's paying me twice the amount as the previous person got...so that says a lot.

We got 6 cars in last night from the auction...some good, some medium, and a couple of challenges!

Toto

Toto, as always, beautiful detail.

Would all of the 6 cars that just came in be BLACK???:D

Well, 3 of them are! The dealer bought a black 760Li (V12 monster), a black 745Li (great condition), and a black 328Xi (a challenge to be sure).

Richard..nice job on that car. I've only done one car with 360 but often use it on wheels, it does a nice job on them.

Use a soft bristled brush not the extractor to do them, perfect everytime

In the product description (here at Autogeek) there are no detailed directions for a rotary - just the P.C. Are you saying that there are in fact rotary-specific directions on the bottle? Or, are the directions you refer to for the Megs SoLo kit?

Thanks,
Greg.
p.s Nice work.

Skip: I just used the pad from the SoLo kit. There are directions on the bottle of product as far as rpm goes. I pretty much work in the 1,200 rpm range on most any product I use anyway.

Toto

Thanks. Since they've put rotary rpm advice on the bottle, obviously they did have rotaries in mind for this product to an extent, even though it's primarily designed for a ROB.

Greg.
