The Guzzlers seem great, but I'm having trouble justifying $20+ for a towel. Does anyone have any recommendations for a better value in a drying towel? Thanks!

Target's Vroom drying towel is pretty popular. personally I didn't like it but maybe I washed it incorrectly and ruined it.

I have a guzzler and it's much better. Wish I could afford to buy a couple more.

The Guzzlers (green) are worth every penny. Best thing, they last and last and last meaning you will get a nice return on your investment over time versus some that need replacing quickly.

Guzzler is great. It holds a lot of water. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.

Yes, I do. It's the Guzzler Combo!! The pair works great together if you need to make 2 passes for drying. I use the Supreme Guzzle for an initial pass and the smaller Guzzler for a 2nd final pass. Works specially well for something like an ONR wash where I do not not plan on applying any QD spray afterwards.

I noticed marring from the cheap target towels and immediately invested a pair of $15 (each) waffle weave towels from another site. They lasted well for a while, but they were still hard enough that i didnt want to rub them on my paint. If you flush the car with an open hose to remove all the beading, then spritz the car lightly with an instant detailer or aqua wax then any large microfiber will suffice at drying the car by blotting. Then you can buff completely dry with a good quality mf towel.

Since I have been doing onr almost exclusively now, I knew I needed a better towel and I too was very discouraged at the price of a supreme guzzler. I bit the bullet and bought two supreme guzzlers and a cobra microfiber kit to replace some other aging towels. It was expensive but I cannot be happier with my purchase. The guzzlers hold a lot of water and are very soft and safe, the only towel I would trust for drying for onr and they also work great for traditional washes.

You get what you pay for, it is an excellent towel, and well worth it's price.

What's this, where is the love for the HD guzzler? I have both guzzlers and I really like the HD.

How do these compare to the HD in terms of softness and weight/thinckness. I got the guzzler HD (2 actually) and I hate them, they do soak up a fair amount of water though. They seem to thick/stiff. And they seem kind of scratchy. This is even after many washes. I was looking at getting the ultra soft WW's from another vendor, but would like to hear about these as Ill be placing a order soon anyways with AG.

:iagree: absolutely. I'm using many Guzzlers that have two years on them. I wash after every use and cut off snags.
Tried to dry my Expedition and wife's Maxima once with the same SMALL Guzzler (green WW) without wringing it out. Came so close to doing it I'm going to say that it did it.

While this towel can absorb a great deal more water than the original Guzzler, I found I like the older ones better since I dont leave alot of water on surface for drying. I blow, spritz with a spray, and wipe lightly.
That reminds me to get a leaf blower...
