Nissan is getting hit with lawsuits and many blown transmissions on their GTR. Which nissan is not covering. If you turn the VCS off or use the launch control it will void your warranty. Not good for a high priced sports car.
Agree, the new CTS is hands down the best as far as quality right now for an American vehicle. The quality is equal and imo better than competitors, i.e. BMW (makes the 3 and 5 series seem cheap inside), it drives excellent, handles excellent. And the new V, enough said, will stomp competitors.New CTS is miles ahead of the MKS and outselling it at a nice pace also. The fact that it offers rear wheel drive, or all wheel drive, and three engine choices is a big bonus. It also quite popular in China and now offering a wagon, and coupe as offshoots. The performance handling package and current discounts from GM make this a consideration for anyone considering luxury sport models.
The new Genesis is certainly a strong offering. It offers alot of Lexus and Infiniti options at a terrific price. It does however have no previous heritage and even the manufacturer has gone to great lengths to make sure no Hyundia badges exist. (small emblem on steering wheel)
If I was searching for a new car this year, I would consider the Pontiac G8 GXP as its truly a Holden and well respected outside US. I would also still consider the Infiniti G37X sedan. Its getting a bit older but still a beautiful design and sportpackage with rear wheel drive is a nice offering.
Each on these was revamped within the past 2 years and still a consideration against the new designs for 2008. I would have included Maxima but did not move back to rear wheel drive as hoped. Car is still quite beautiful and driving one with the sports package does provide a strong offering against the competition.
Back in the day, the Maxima was one of the best sports sedans around (through the 90's) than they started neutering it. Now, I don't care what power they throw at it, they don't offer a manual trans anymore, the Altima seems to have taken its old place. The new Max in rwd with a manual trans would be a great offering.I would have included Maxima but did not move back to rear wheel drive as hoped. yeh the mid to late 90's and even early 90's cars were great, sporty suspensions, excellent manual trans and just enough power. Probably the most fun fwd sedans around. Then I don't know what happened, they added more power, but then came heavier cars more geared to luxury in a way, softened suspension setups, than cvt trans, and now it seems they put together a great fwd sedan in the new model fixing the previous neuterings...and no manual trans. All I wanted when I was 16 was to get a manual trans Maxima...but I ended up with a truck back then lol. You ever drive a cvt trans? Its so,......weird lolThe Maxima is indeed neutered ... it doesnt really fit in the Nissan line currently. It needs to move to high end luxury and that usually means rear wheel drive. I will say driving it , it is no slouch and handles and looks much better than the more popular Altima. Wait till you see the ugly Cube they are bringing out next ...

I agree if it was rear wheel drive it would be an absolute steal, but I gotta say I test drove the new accord, the altima 3.5 SE V6, New Camry V6 and the Maxima whipped them all, this is my second Maxima ( I had a 98 model) kinda miss that car.......lol..........but the new design got me excited again about the Maxima, the 2004 up to 2007 Model I couldn't stand that design, its as if they were moving the Maxima into more of a Luxury car.........but things have changed, its a great and fun car to drive.
:whs: I want one of these also. I can not afford a new one,but I will get one. I have a 2002 Ext and I Love it. The XLR- V is The Ultimate Caddy!I'm in the new car mode for this year and looking real strong at Cadillac XLR-V . Although a bit pricey I still like it a lot and am sure I will end up with one . I want the V model because of the extra power and a few other options that goes with that . They are limited on color options ,but for me that is Ok as I want a black one and that is one of the available colors . Yeh I know black is tough to keep right, but when done is beautiful and AG has the produts needed to keep it looking good .
CTS-V is the ultimate ass kicking Caddy :whs: I want one of these also. I can not afford a new one,but I will get one. I have a 2002 Ext and I Love it. The XLR- V is The Ultimate Caddy!
