Rich, swirl-free results on all paints!

If you use Meguiars #105 Ultra-Cut Compound, you’ll love Meguiars Mirror Glaze #205 Ultra Finishing Polish. This polish was designed to follow #105 and all other Meguiars compounds to remove light swirls and restore optimum gloss. Meguiars Mirror Glaze #205 Ultra Finishing Polish will give your smooth, flawless results when applied by hand or with an orbital or rotary buffer.

Looks like mine will be here Tuesday/Wednesday. I should be able to try it out on a Black Passat that weekend. I'll probably try it out on my test hood right away just to see how the play time is, and if it's really as smooth as the reviews say. ;)

I guess i need to add this to my Meguiars line :)

What would you suggest are essential Meguiars Mirror Glaze products i should have on hand.

For paint correction only?

M105
M205, if it works as well as those who have tested it
M80
M07
D151 or M66 for the cheap customers who only want to pay for an AIO.
M21

where does the 205 stack up at with the 80?
Meg's has so many overlapping products it seems???
so confused...

I will definitely keep my eye on this product. It will probably be a while before I try it, and am looking forward to some members opinions.

To me, M205 seems to cut faster, and is much easier to work with than M80...not that M80 was ever hard to use. :)

So, if I use this after Menzerna SIP, do I then go straight to LSP? Would this be a good alternative to PINN AFP?

Well that would depend on what pad/polisher you were using with the SIP, and the polishability of the paint. Typically, I would say yes. ;)

Rasky, you got me! I have a 05 black Acura RL that I cannot seem to get right. I am new to this detailing habit and am kind of learning by trial/error plus whatever tips I can pick up off the board. I am fairly close to Brian Burnsworth and would love to look over his shoulder sometime and see what I could learn. Hell, I probably couldn't afford his opinion!

To answer your question, though, I would start with yellow CCS/SIP, go to orange CCS with polish, white with polish, then LSP of DP Max Wax. Any success I have at this point would fall into the category of unconscious competence, I can assure you.

Do you have any pics of the paint condition? I'm not a big fan of foam cutting pads, I usually reach for a wool pad when I need to do some serious correction. I think you will be very happy with how well M205 works. It appears those who have used it all agree that using a finishing pad for the final step adds a lot. Here are a few of the cars that have been done with M205 over on MOL.

More than anything, I think that I am going to have to upgrade from the G110 that I am using to a Flex. I'll try and get some pictures to you and maybe you can give me some tips on what to do next? I'll PM you when I get them, OK?

I think you sent me these once before, now that I think about it! My interior is the same and I got mine the same weekend that she did! Scary.....

Yeah, the G110 is a great tool, but it does have it's limitations.

Sounds good.
