Perhaps a stupid question, but should I apply Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant to my painted (silver) bumper covers? How about what seems to be painted black trim on the door frame around the windows?

the silver bumper covers are a definite yes to be covered with dgps but the trim around the door frame is a bit iffy. if you have some pics then i can definitely say whether you should do it or not.

You could, but it is not needed. Your talking about the metal strips along the windows and the side pilars right?

I would cover/protect all painted surfaces and can be used on glass and metal also.

The attached pictures is what I'm talking about. OK to use the sealant on this?

There are also some black plastic parts that don't seem painted. Should I use 303 or a similar protectant on those?

Yes, apply it too that also. You are right alot of those pillars have a real thick tape on them but can be polished or have an lsp applied.

Don't use 303 on any shiny plastic parts, only on textured plastic like the dash and such. Use the Wolfgang on any shiny plastic as shown in your pic.

What about matte plastic, like the plastic part at the bottom of the windshield where the wiper blades attach, or the plastic at the base of the side-view mirrors?

In that case, you would want to use 303.
