Hi guys,

I'm new to the forums here, and have been lurking a bit lately, researching products.
I am a car enthusiast, not a detailer...
I have been learning heaps from the forums, so I decided to sign up.

I recently got some new products for my garage, like my new Meguiar's G220.
We aren't so fortunate here in Australia, and this is the only real 'home enthusiast' DA polisher we get over here. It is an awesome machine, I have always wanted a porter cable or something similar. We have 240v over here, not 110v like you guys, hence why nothing available. This only just came out here, so I jumped on one!

I use a fair bit of meg's products like their paint cleaner, and NXT liquid wax. Basically, anything I can buy from the local store. We seem to only have meguiar's and turtle wax on the shelves over here. They do ok, but I know it can be 100x better.

I am basically looking to step up my own detailing (that's why I got the meg's G220 DA) and I have also ordered some Optimum poli-seal, and opti-seal. I want to get good protection, as well as looking good. I was going to get the whole Zaino Z-AIO /Z-2 / Z-5 kit, but the price and effort of layering seems to be a bit of a turn off. I still might get a kit down the track - depending on how the Optimum stuff goes.

I have 2 basically new cars, without any scratches, so an AIO is all I really need. I have read on here that the poli-seal is one of the best around. It was also cheaper for 2x the product compared to Z-AIO.

Just waiting for the Optimum stuff to turn up.

Cheers,

Matt.

Hi Matt!

You're already way ahead of me. I don't have anything yet. I've been poking about here for a week or so trying to learn where to start. So far the folks here have been extremely helpful.

Nice to "meet" you!

You'll be fine with the G220. It is basically the PC with a little more power and better ergonomics, so, IMHO, the PC would be a step backwards.

Yeah, I'm extremely happy with the G220.

I have done both my cars with it, the results are freaking awesome to say the least. Beats the 'by hand' method for sure. The results are so much better than I originally thought.

Cheers mate!

So many products, so many things to buy.....
The more you research, the more you get confused.
