Menzerna Powerfinish, or Megs M205?

On a honda, he could use the power finish and follow with 85RD. That way all you would need to buy is one more polish(If you wanted)

True. I'm not sure how much more effective IP ot SIP is at removing defects then PF as I've not used it yet, according to the chart it seems close.

For customers only willing to pay for a 1-step, Power Finish seems like a very good choice. Those willing to spend a little more, you should follow it up with a lesser polish. What's sad is I usually end up giving them a 2-step anyway, even though they are not paying for it.

I am with you on that Rasky, I just can't leave it at a one step. SIP is a little stronger than PF.

I thought that Power Finish is a one-step product only for most paint colors, but usually not darker paint colors. Even then, whether or not you need a finishing polish would also depend on what color pad you used when polishing.

If you want a true one-stepper, I think Poli-Seal and white pads are the way to go. You would be very surprised how well Poli-Seal can correct with a rotary and white pads, and at $17 for 32oz you just can't go wrong.

It doesn't matter what the pad color is, it should be followed up. It is not a finishing polish. It is inbetween SIP and 106 so then it should be followed up.

Yeah but it's description when it was released was gearing it towards a one step OEM polish. I ran out of 85RD so no option of using it over the PF. I'll give it a shot with PF as a one step and keep you posted. This isn't a case of money, it's a time constraint issue mostly. I'm home for 10 days for my wedding (no honeymoon till summer), and the S2000 detail is for a friend, that is hooking us up with some freebies for the wedding. And well since I'm only home 10 days, and 5 of those will be dealing with stuff for the wedding before, the day of (6), and the day after taking things back, that leaves me 3 days till I leave again. Which two of them I will be spending with my new wife... He's cool with a one step, just wants the car to be "slippery slick and shiney" when I get done. So, I'm thinking PF with a coat or two of Fuzion (got the Sub zero special to play with!) will do the trick after a claying.

I wonder why Autogeek gave Powerfinish a cut of 3,5 and gloss of 5?

Does anyone know?

Because it has a nice cut but still burnishes the paint nicely. It's like a finishing polish on steroids.

for full correction and a flawless finish, I would not finish with the product but to respond to the original question was and as a time saver that is a great process

Actually, I'd consider it a finishing polish. It has about as much cut as IP, but doesn't leave the paint looking hazy.

This chart is off a different forum. Menzerna USA's site won't display the chart the last couple months. Unless it is my computer that won't display it. This is before 106FA(FF on chart) and PF 203 came out.

The following is a chart from the Menzerna website issued 11.04.06:

Menzerna polishes - Detail University - Auto Detailing Forum

The only difference I see on other charts(not menzerna's), is PF203 is rated at a 3.5 gloss.

PO203S have cut and gloss of 3,5. PO203 have a cut of 3,2 and gloss 3,8.

So thats why I was wondering autogeek have been given PO203S a gloss of 5...

Loudog, trust me Porta knows his Menzerna.
I'm not disageeing with him. I just said the chart on AG's site is the same as Menzerna's. That's all. I don't think PF203 had the same gloss as 106FA or 85RD at all. I agree with him on that. I don't have an updated chart for menzerna. I just have the one before FA and PF203 came out.

The chart @ AG's site is not the same as Menzerna GMBH's, thats for sure...

I tried to get the germany site chart. Failed though. So is the Germany chart different than the menzerna USA chart I showed you in the link?
