I have purchased an 89 Honda Accord (son's first car). The paint is in fair condition with the hood being the worst. So far I have cut the oxidation off with 3m Perfect-it rubbing compound and a wool cutting pad with a circular Dewalt polisher. I intend to continue next with 3M Machine Polish to begin the deswirling process.

I have ordered the Wolfgang 3.0 and will apply two coats and follow up with one coat of PS21S wax which I have orderred.

My question is:

Would it be advisable to use Meguairs #3 before sealing with the WG 3.0 as the paint on this old Honda is a bit dry and I feel could benefit from the oils found in Meguiars #3 but I am not sure if it could interfere with the WG 3.0 achieving a good bond/seal.

Very informative site.

Thank you,

#3 will interfere with the wolfgang bonding. I would just use the wolfgang. I think you will be happy without the glaze.

I still use #3 from time to time and it will work great under the Wolfgang sealant.

#3 is actually a polish.
