So, in my cart I got the pc intro kit with some 5.5 orange and blue pads. The kit comes with white and gray. I also got sip, 106 fa nano, and was either gonna get 85rd or megs 205. What would work best? i have moderate swrils on my dark gray Lincoln ls. Sip orange, nano white, 85 gray or blue, or 205 gray or blue? I'm confused. Someone help!

I would use the 85rd or 3m ultrafina and depending on the amount of swirls the pc may not be able to get them out.Clear coat depending if it is a CC one or not .

So 85 finishes better than megs 205?

Well 85RD would work well on a hard CC( now if your using a PC and this stuff on say a Corvette, that might not work out well if you ask harley lol). Depending on what vehicle your doing it with. Ive never gotten a chance to see the effects on a Lincoln so i cant say for sure. Soft paint ( like a honda) i would use the 3m UF

however i really like 85 and megs 205. Both are great, but i prefer the 85RD with the recent results i got from using it to jewel the paint on my Audi

So you would go sip with a orange, nano with white, than 85 with blue or gray?

that is a very good plan of action.
but you may want to start off with sip and white, no need to use orange if you dont have too...get extra white pads, its been my experience that alot of clearcoats can be corrected easy with white....

:iagree: And if that doesnt work then step up to the Orange With SIP and do what you mentioned earlier. For the 85RD ..most deff a Blue Pad!!

i will concur, for concurrence sake... plus its a good plan of attack...

as mentioned, get extra pads right now because you will need them. it sucks having to stop everything your doing, wash/clean the pads, let them dry, then continue.
