Hello all,

Sorry, not many before pictures of this but it had your usual black swirls and marring......and only 2500 miles on it!

It went through a 4 step polishing process starting with LC foamed wool and working through some cool new LC beta pads. I used 105, 205, Optimum Polish, Optimum Finish and also Ultrafina.

It was sealed with OptiSeal x2, Optimum Metal on the wheels along with PoliSeal.

Hope you enjoy the few pictures.

Nice and deep black, like it should be! Great job!

Always great work Anthony. Car also looks much better without the ugly stock 997 turbo wheels.

Nice job Anthony....I have question, do you prefer the foamed wool pad verses the regular wool pad........if you don't mind explain........the regular wool pad sure clumps up on me, but I love the end results...I haven't tried the foamed wool yet,,,,does it produce the same results as a regular wool pad?

looks great Anthony! Love those wheels.

So, did you hit it with the UF after the OFP?

Looks great. +1 on those wheels. They are a perfect fit for that Porsche, very sharp. Great work.

Thank you very much.

Nice!

Thank you

Hey thanks Gary! So you don't like the stock turbo wheels? I kinda like them myself, especially on a non turbo Porsche like when they are on a Cayman......or when the inside of the wheels are painted the color of the car. I will say though that the wheels on this Turbo are far better looking than the stocks, that I agree with.

Thanks again,
Anthony

Hello,

I prefer the foamed wool over the blended wool pads because they are more forgiving. I just wet sanded a Porsche Turbo and the foamed wool removed my sanding marks just as good as the wool blend (Lake Country wool) BUT left me with less swirling. They don't finish down perfectly clean but they work really nice with a variety of compounds and polishes.

Another really nice pad would be a true lambs wool pad called a "belly pad" because it's taken from the belly area of a lamb and the hide is still attached. I get mine from ValuGard.

Hope that helps,
Anthony

I used UF and OFP in conjunction.....using both on various panels to see what the OFP would do and wouldn't do. The OFP works great but it can be difficult to remove in its present state.

Thank you,
Anthony

Nice work Anothony! Car look wet!

Thank you :)

Yep, those wheels really set the Porsche off.....very classy yet gives it some attitude.

Thank you for the compliment.

I guess we all have different tastes. I almost brought an 08 Turbo about a year ago. Boardwalk Porsche in Plano, TX had one with 500 miles in the color and with all the options I wanted and more. I worked on them for a couple of weeks to get the price down. On the day I was going to wire them the money someone came in and brought the car from under me for $4,000 more then they had agreed to sell me the car for. I ended up getting a new 08 Z06 and an a 02 Viper ACR with 4,000 mi in mint condition for less then I was going to spend on the turbo. I still think about getting a 997 turbo. Maybe when it looks like it's going to economy picks up. Would love to have a new GT2.

Hey Anthony, Absolutely awesome job...but that's what I'd expect. See you soon-

With all the doom and gloom one the news everyday I think my wife might kill me if I about $200,000 GT2 at this time. If I sell my Gallardo she might get over it. What color and how much are you looking for?

It's a clients of mine, I built it for him and he has yet to drive it, let alone sit in it. He's been out of the country for almost a year now.

It's Speed Yellow, price not sure just yet, it has just a few miles on it.
