All that I know are rotaries.

My question(s) is: Do I need PC?
Will it do some thing better then its bigger brother the rotary?
If so should I wait for the new model that is rumored to be coming out?

I am intrigued by this little machine and am looking for a good reason to buy one. The price is good, that is for sure. I have read that they are coming out with a new one that has the dial at your thumb instead of the bottom(not sure why they put it there in the 1st place).

The "good reason" to buy one is that you can't come close to getting the same results by hand. Polishing is 90% of the shine, and you can only
do that with a polisher. Invest in one of the AutoGeek packages that include the buffer, pads, and polish/wax--you'll save money and be glad you did in the long run. Do a couple of cars and it will pay for itself. Then save and buy one of the new Tornador Foam Guns too, when they go on sale.

I have a rotary, Milwaukee 5400 polisher, that I am quite proficient with. I was just wondering if its worth getting a PC when I have a rotary? Are there things that it will do better? If so, should I wait for the new model I keep hearing about?

Thanks,

Gordon

a rotary and PC go hand in hand. you can use the PC not only remove defects, but you can apply lsp's, glazes, and also use them on carpets. one can never have enough good hand tools for different jobs...

Told me what i wanted to hear, thanks ill be getting one soon.

Amen on the last part

I have been trying to tell my girlfriend that a man can never have enough tools just like women can not have enough shoes, purses, lipstick, etc . . . .

The Pro's on this forum also recommend the PC for jewelling the finish. Could be another reason to purchase, as if we need a reason to purchase another tool.

A flex can jewel also, plus polish faster.
