After two years of cage driving I finally got another bike. It is a 2006 Suzuki Boulevard M50 (805cc). I looked at the V-Star 1100 and the VTX 1300, but this one had the best of all worlds. Liquid cooled, fuel injected, and shaft driven. It gets up and moves better than either of the other bikes I looked at and the power difference is likely only going to be felt at freeway speeds when you need to accelerate. 805cc is plenty of bike for me, so I'm not going to split hairs over a few extra horsepower that I could have gotten in a bigger bike. Besides, having the fuel injection definitely counts for something. If I want a little more power, then there are ways to choke it out of the engine. ;) Anyway, here she is after a nice cut-n-buff and sealed with Wolfgang.

That's why I use Wolfgang on blue. :) I've never used anything else that has had such a dramatic effect on blue.

Awesome bike OCD, I always like seeing your work. DGPS on blue is an awesome combination and I am really upset that I skipped straight to wax after poli-seal without putting down a couple coats of it first.

Are you planning on doing anything with the chrome peices?

Well, I'm using Wolfgang All Metal Sealant for now on it, but I'm thinking about trying a new Ultima product called Cycle Armor. Autogeek hasn't picked it up yet, but it is out there.

Another thought I had if I ever come into a few hundred bucks that I don't have any other use for (or more depending on how much an idea like this would cost) is to have all the chrome powder coated flat black. The thing I like about the Boulevard is that it isn't over chromey like most of the other cruisers out there. I can get chrome engine covers and all that fun stuff, but I just believe there is such a thing as too much chrome. What this bike has is exactly what is the perfect minimum amount of chrome that any cruiser should have. If I could get the pipes, valve covers, and other side pieces that are chromed painted or powder coated flat black, then I'd leave the rest of the chrome on the headlight and such the way it is. I dunno... I'll have to photoshop it a bit and see what I think. It is just a pipe dream that I'd probably never get around to anyway, but I think it would look interesting.

I think it would be awesome, maybe just power coat the engine, but leave the exhaust, handle bars, etc. But yeah, if we all had just a few extra dollars...

Hey, did you create that DetailLog site? That is really cool, actually. I'm going to use that this year and see how it works.

Yeah, I created it based on the needs of the people here. There is still tons more work to do on it though, but most of the back-end is there.

It would be cool if you could make a calendar of available appointment times visible to customers that could be placed on our sites. That would be an awesome feature that would be worthy of a subscription fee. If my customers could just log onto my site and pick a slot for their detail and the system just automatically emails me, then I'd want that software for sure!

Anyway, back on topic.... :D Vroooom Vroooooooooom!

i cant believe cruiser bikes are now fuel injected! i was talking to a harley dealer and he said it started back in '07...that was a suprise. no more 10 minute starts in the cold mornings

awesome color!
