I was checking out the paint/bondo section at the local PepBoys and found a Black & Decker rotary polisher/sander for $69. Does anyone know anything about that? It looked decent and the box says it has an 11-amp motor. I tried searching for it on Google but didn't find any info on it. The casing was still in the old Black & Decker colors (black and pewter, not the newer orange and black colors.

Looks like it's a $69.00 gamble i would just save up for a better machine.

Actually, I just got the Flex (Killer deal. Couldn't pass up), so I'm not in the market for a rotary or anything. I just thought it might be worth it, since I have had very good luck with B & D quality and reliability. Just looking at it, the machine seemed very well built and if it goes bad afterwards, I could just return it to PepBoys.
I was just curious to see if anybody had any info on it. I wish I remembered the exact model #.

run away .. I hear Sears has one of those big 13 inch Waxmasters on sale for 29.99 too. (neither are worth the $$)

What was the model #? The Dewalt 849 are rebadged B&D rotaries.

I don't remember exactly, but I think the model # is WPD107D. I am only sure of the first and last four digit. I'm sure it wasn't the Dewalt 849.

stay away from that junk. Save your money for a good machine - like Flex.

The B&D I was talking about is the buffmaster Model 6138 which
is the same as the Dewalt. I was going to have you pick me
one up at that price.

Well, I went back to Pep Boys to get a new air filter for my care and checked the model # of the polisher. It's the WP 107B. I also found out it looks exactly like the Vector Professional Circular Polisher found on another site. Makes sense, since I read B & D bought out Vector some tme ago.
