Does anybody know an effective way to remove a scratch from the clear plastic display of a car stereo? I cannot feel the scratch when I run my finger over it, but it is definitely visible. I'm guessing the plastic is the similar to the kind that is over the display screen on any VCR, DVD player, or clock radio.

Any tips on how to remove these kinds of scratches from a car's plastic "wood grain" interior trim would be great too.

Thanks!

I don't see why a mild compound or polish wouldn't work on it. I would try your least aggressive stuff first, then move slightly more aggressive each time, if the scratch isn't removed by the previous step/chemical.

I have polished the painted plastic parts of my car with 3m plastic cleaner and 3m plastic polish using a corded drill with ccs spot buff pads, worked really well got alot of the minor scuffs and scratches out, then sealed it with klasse, looked almost new.

What kind of unit is it, factory or aftermarket and what brand?

DP Plex All
DP Plex All is a great product that I use to maintain my cars Clear Bra but in this case I feel it would be best used to clean the plastic following other scratch removal products. Just my .02. (sorry to disagree with you Megan)
