I am currently using Tuff Stuff and it seems to work pretty good but some spots just won't budge! What is a good carpet cleaner for spots and for the whole floor?

Try Folex from the Home Depot. its like 5 bucks for alot of liquid.

Dri Wash n Guard Green has proven to be better than Folex to me. It's a concentrate,16 ounces make 2 gallons of cleaner!

I vote Folex or Zep traffic and lane cleaner

Thanks... might have to give folex a try!!

Im going to get some Folex today as well. I have never heard of it before and have been lookiing for something to clean my carpet.
:goodpost:

A hint for you for buying it. HD sells it in usually 2 locations within the store. It's sold in a smaller bottle along with all the cleaning stuff. The best deal is the gallon size and it's usually sold where the carpet cleaning machines and supplies are. That's your best bet.

Is Folex meant to be used in a carpet extractor, like the Little Green Machine?

It can be used either way. If you have an extractor, you can use it with that. If not, it's extremely good at spot removal. Vacuum very well, spray on area, agitate, dab with a terry towel or mf and PRESTO! You will love this stuff. Another alternative that I actually bought for myself today (also at HD) is the ZEP line. They make a traffic lane carpet cleaner that is supposed to rock at removing stains. It was recommended to me by a guy who's opinion I highly value. He has turned me onto a few Zep products which are highly effective and very, very reasonably priced. I have the glass cleaner that you can cut 32:1 (that's NOT a misprint) and the citrus degreaser APC which I adore.

Folex too...just used some yesterday on some 10+ yr old matts and they worked very well. I swaer I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me when I saw some spots (right after I sprayed them) dissappear. This is without aggitating them or anything, simply vanished! The rest a little work with a brush and good as new ;)

Just got back from Home Depot. 1 gallon Folex is $16.00, also picked up the Zep high traffic $3.50 for 32ozs. I was looking at Wolfgang but was having a real problem with the price. Can anyone give me justification to spend that much for a gallon of carpet cleaner?.

Dave

Just by the folex at HD. I read this thread and then went to HD and bought the gallon. The only other carpet cleaner I like is DP total interior cleaner as it gets deep set in stains out really well also
