Montana Boars Hair trashed my finish!!

Gold Class... is that Meguiars ?

Is it any good ?

How does it compare with DP's or Poor Boys ?

Does it have Tuf Suds in it ?

Well, I think Mike Phillips can probably answer that question better than I can, but as I recall, Meguiars Gold Glass has been his "go to" wash for a long time.

Right now, I have about 5 different wash soaps in my rotation (GC, DP Extreme Foam, Z7 Show Car Wash, CG Citrus Wash and NXT Wash). GC isn't my favorite, but I think it is a high quality wash for sure and probably better than the Simoniz stuff.

I bought a Jug of Meguiar's Gold Class today...

Meguiars Gold Class Car Wash Shampoo & Conditioner, Meguiars Auto Shampoo, Car Soap, Meguires Car Wash

It worked out to be the same price in Canadian as it is in AG/USA Dollars for 128 oz's.

The crappy Simoniz Car Wash Soap is $7.99 for a Jug and the Meguiar's Gold Class is $16.99

Better quality for twice the price ?

It's getting really cold here... and I think Winter is starting to ramp up as we get closer to October.

I might have one or two more Driveway Wash-Jobs on tap before it freezes over, around here.

I'm sure you'll find it is much better than the Simoniz Wash. You might want to invest in a rinseless wash for the winter months as well.

Is there a link that best explains what a Rinseless Wash is all about?

The thought of dragging a Brush or anything across my Paint without first trying to get most of the crap off, is a scary thought. I think the Pail would be full of Dirt pretty quick.

In my part of the world, my Truck can get pretty dirty... and usually the only place I want to go to is the local DIY Wand Wash Facility.

Can ONR be used on a vechile that dirty?
This discussion really needs another thread. :)

To answer your question, I would spray off that vehicle at the DIY wash, then use the ONR.
It might be interesting to see the opinions of others.

OK... to get it back on track then.

Could using a Boar Brush on my caked-on Dirt still drive the scratches in, even after an aggressive rinse-down and pre-soak?

Probably anything would, right ?

I have used a Montana Hair Boar daily for the past two years with excelent results, You should not use it on hot paints and on dirty areas you should apply many times until you are sure that it is clean.
