Hi guys,
I have been detailed some cars now and I would like to make the next step and become a real professional and own my own detailing shop and want to learn from the bests.
I live outside the US and planning to flight there to get some courses about automotive care such as paintless dent repairs, windshield repairs, interior repairs and many more and I am willing to put my effort to achieve these goals. I would like also to master at Detailing to stage that I will know everything and learn the best of technique from someone who will willing to teach and give me his expertise in this area.
I am looking for a detailing school or if one of you guys are willing to do this (and of course get paid for that) please point me to that person and I got no reference to where to attend to this courses since I am willing to go anywhere in the US as long as I will know I go to one of the best.

Thanks guys and take care,
Eliran

Thanks for your reply.
I have already looked up at this site but I would like to get a one on one instead in a group so it can be more efficient.

They also offer one on one, but you have to email / call them to ask about it.

Do you think it is the best I can get or the courses over there are not that much.
What do you think about Renny Doyle from Attention to Detail? I have heard a little about him but did not get more info on him.
The Total Pros looks like a commercial thing and not so professional school but again I may be wrong.

The Total Pros is a professional school, not sure what you mean by commercial.

I meant to a place that you basically learn the basics and this is not what I am looking for. I look for learning from someone with a lot of experience and technics such as Mike Phillips or other good detailer that have good reputation. I am going to come to Miami first and I dont want to go to a place and not being satisfied and then start looking for others, I would like to schedule everything before I am coming.

Thanks again,
Eliran

I saw one of your posts on Autopia which you point to Anthony Orosco and Auto Concierge mentioned Detailwerkz, Joshvette and Scottwax.
Do you know if one of them will agree to teach or I better go to The Total Pros?

Thanks,
Eliran

There are books on it you can read. I read Ultimate Auto Detailing, by David H. Jacobs, Jr., and found it to be very informative.
Auto Detailing The Professional Way by James Joseph is a very informative manual.

I prefer going to learn by practicing and other stuff which require further learning and practicing which I would not be able to achieve through reading, but thanks anyway for your suggestion.

Then you just need to find some cars to practice on, then. Friends cars, ect.

We do offer training, which is hands on. Kevin Ferrel with Klean Car also offers a great training program. He is in the New Jersey area.

Thank you all for your posts. I think I will go with Renny Doyle from Attention to Detail which seems a really nice guy and knowledgeable. If you got any comment or other suggestions please let me know.

Thanks,

I didnt know anything about detailing 7 months ago and have learned a great deal through reading/research and after purchasing the products and using them myself.

My suggestion would be instead of flying all the way to the U.S. and spending money on courses and hotels, etc. Just order all the detailing supplies and start practicing.

They say 90% of the shine is based on the paint prep so get a flex or rotary polisher machine and a bunch of polishes/pads and just try to copy some of the methods shown on this site, youtube, etc. Thats how I would go about learning how to detail, sitting in a class is a waste of time if you ask me. check out autopia.org too there are some top notch detailers that post there.
